I was going to wait to post this on Tuesday, January 20th, but some of you might want to plan ahead and celebrate.

Inauguration Day occurs every four years on January 20 (or January 21 if January 20 falls on a Sunday). Therefore on this upcoming Tuesday, this clown show will be a quarter of the way over.

I'd take the over or under.

Longer because no election due to dictatorship, or shorter because something could happen.

A lot of arguments going on over midterms and nothing more American than betting on those arguments.

Dems 36% to sweep midterms which is up a lot from recently, with Other at 1% (canceled elections or something) Seems like dems are a little undervalued here and I don't think I've ever said that in the last 10 years. But I don't think a dem is winning the WH in 2028.

I agree unless the party makes some radical policy changes or has some wow candidate but my guess is Gavin Newsom and they run on I am not Trump

It doesn't matter what the Dems do. According to some smart folks on tee-vee, Harris ran a "flawless campaign." If you can't win when you run a "flawless campaign", you ain't ever gonna win imo.

rickroll wasn't able to support this claim as to 2+2 posters, so you decided to try again by attributing this view to "smart folks on tee-vee"?

I think the source of that quote is someone in charge of her campaign. Only place I've ever heard it is people mocking it.

No she wrote in her book " I lost because of everyone else but me "

I never saw any 2p2 posters making the "flawless campaign" claim. Saying something that dumb would require following orders from the network and/or showrunner.

Saw youtoobs of smart people on The View(?) and MSNBC making the claim, though.

The Young Turks discussing Joy Reid's "flawless campaign" analysis on MSNBC.

You're claiming this sentence is in the book. I haven't read it, but I do not believe you.

That's interesting. Can you show us that quote in her book? I have not read it.

sort of incredible they sat on this Epstein stuff that almost certainly would have sunk Trump. so they lost bc they refused to stop slaughtering children in Palestine and bc they inexplicably wanted to protect an Israeli rape torture pedophile ring. weird. dont think too much about it tho.

Lozen obviously (trying to be) funny.

It’s because her husband is a Jewish financier, obviously

its bc they are in on it. we are ruled over by genocidal pedophile rape torturers. sorry that it hurts your feelings that your hero Dems are just as involved.

Your level of dishonesty is astounding. I don't believe any intellectually honest or competent person would say that the Dems are "heroes" for CRD.

That is not the name of her book either . She clearly blames everyone but herself from what the critics say

Oh you didn't read it?

Consider shutting tfu maybe then?

Not sure where he got that idea either. I don’t think I’ve ever said that I like any of the current democratic politicians as people, and I have been critical of hero worship of any politician. The dems are just obviously better than the republicans, especially at this moment in time, and especially for anyone who wants liberalism to continue past this decade.

Thinking that democrats are the best option for my ideology to continue to be viable is not the same thing as thinking they are heroes.

This sort of own goal does not make me optimistic about a Newsom candidacy.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been accused of racism after citing his underwhelming SAT score during a chat with a black elected official over the weekend.

“I’m not trying to impress you, I’m just trying to impress upon you, ‘I’m like you. I’m not better than you.’ I’m a 960 SAT guy,” Newsom told Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens during a Sunday night event promoting his forthcoming memoir, “Young Man in a Hurry.”

Looks like he wanted to prove that he is dumb and did exactly what he set out to do. Perhaps not quite in the way he intended.

Welcome to the 2028 Democratic frontrunner:

it's pretty amazing to watch key in on the reaction of the host - this jump started a "progressive elite whites aren't actually progressive debate"

your quote left out the best part "i cannot read"

I would imagine Newsome gets crushed by even Rubio. He'd get hammered in Florida and probably enough in the Mid west to lose.

Newsom sucks.

There are two actually good Democrat politicians that I am aware of. AOC and Buttieg

AOC is a woman of color who has had ~10 years of right wing smear campaigns under her belt. Shes probably the best politician but has no shot

Buttieg is ****ing awesome, but hes gay so I doubt the Dems would even take the chance, but I guarantee it would become problem for the right wingers. They'd find a way to slander his gayness relentlessly. Maybe bring back the AIDs scare.

Not sure where that puts the left. Running Kamala again would be objectively ******ed.

We've talked about it before but the Dems really ****ed themselves by building up zero viable options since Obama. Maybe that was the intent with the Harris VP seat, but she did ****-all to build her image the entire time she was in office.

Historically, the Dems have done well nominating people who were virtually unknown to the general public prior to their announcing their candidacy: Carter, Clinton, Obama.

In that same time frame, all of the GOP nominees were already fairly well-known to the general public: Reagan, Bush 41, Dole, Bush43, McCain, Romney, Trump.
