they've come here because they found we're soft targets who like to play dangerous games but don't have the strength to actually say what they're actually doing and thus use terms like lunch
so at the BAFTAs(lolbrits oscars) there was a movie about tourretes that was nominated, and a man with the condition who was connected to the nominated movie was in the audience.
early on, the host(in an absurd all white and frilly outfit) announced to the crowd that the man with tourretes might be shouting offensive things, and explained that no offense is intended, and it's involuntary. the crowd applauded, and the man felt good and welcomed.
then for the first award two black actors were presenting, and he shouted out the n word.
the show was broadcast two hours later, and the BBC didn't sensor out the word. BUT bbc did sensor out when someone shouted "free Palestine"
the actors were visibly shook. one of them's parents left in tears. obviously terrible. I also feel for that man who shouted it. idk how tourretes works. but supposedly he shouts it without meaning it, which omg would be just awful. he must have felt so bad! he left the ceremony. he apologized.
also he won some other word before, and the queen gave it to him, and he said to her face "f*ck the queen!" which is pretty legendary
That is a very unfortunate situation which only reinforces my thesis that award shows are fundamentally evil.
