Obama's droned a few kids too. War sucks but hopefully better than Iran with a nuke and an ideology that calls for Israel to be wiped into the sea.

I tried to count the logical fallacies, rhetorical tricks, and sophistries in this but I don't have that kind of time.

You should at least try to hide the whataboutism inside the strawman instead of headlining it. Trés sloppé.

The good news is that in the near future the new robot warriors will turn us humans into the sideline cheerleading squad.

That does sound nice.

when someone is talking about liberal cities excluding poors and minorities and compares black home ownership rates in those coastal cities vs rust belt republican dominated cities you need to recognize that is the central point of the discussion

You said

by rickroll m

hence why in progressive cities like san francisco and seattle it's just as bad or even worse for homeless and blacks as it is in conservative areas

And then after you clarified that you were specifically looking at cities and not states, I posted

by Wearwolf m

not sure why it matters city vs states for your argument that 'progressives increase racial divides', but here's some on cities

and also you were not focused on "rust belt republican dominated cities" but that

by rickroll m

black home ownership is noticeably higher in the heavily racist deep south than it is in progressive cities

which might matter to the discussion (which I think is over anyway?) because afaiu the rust belt was Democratic until about ten years ago, though admittedly I am not googling it right now to confirm.

stop posting about politics or anything else serious for that matter - you'll find much more joy in reddit

I was really hard on conservativism for a good stretch there, so I've had the animosity coming.

classic examples of why you shouldn't be posting politics if you're going to argue semantics over rust belt or deep south in a recollection of a discussion from last week rather than deal with the facts

and lol at thinking i'm a conservative

Wow, I'm stumped, how did he do that!?!?

this is so confusing.

What facts am I not dealing with? I posted city data, and I assumed you just missed it, but now that I've pointed you to it, you're still on about something.

also I'm not sure what you mean by "semantics". I wrote why the "rust belt" was significantly distinct from the south for this discussion. You asked me to look up the "progressive paradox", and I came back with exactly what I found being something very different than you said it was. Is that an example of what you mean by "semantics"?

If you are going to accuse me of a certain way of participating in a discussion, shouldn't you expect me to go back and reference how the discussion took place?

I'd have to search back why I thought you were a conservative, but I'm not going to bother. If you say you aren't, that's fine with me for now.

Rick, how do you politically identify?

it was nice to have you back amp

by Wearwolf m

do you think either has a good chance at flipping the seat?

Heh, given how wrong I was about Crockett winning, I'll still say no way in hell a green kid like Talarico can win a US Senate race in Texas. We'll see.

I'm not going anywhere.

I was gently reminding folks to treat other posters with love and respect, in the style of our gorgeous and glamorous first lady.

At this time I don't believe he even has an opponent so it's going well so far.

Rick, how do you politically identify?

500 words or less, please. I would actually like to read it.

political audiobooks are great for long car rides and directionless dog walks

recently finished Trotsky's Fascism: What It Is And How To Fight It, which is what led me to my Birdman question re: commies joining nazis to defeat the social democrats in pre-ww2 germany

just today started Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism by Yanis Varoufakis (former Greek finance minister)

US blowing up the Iranian ship off of Sri Lanka seems a little indiscriminate. rip 150 sailors

Is it real or is it Memorex?

Memorex...

US blowing up the Iranian ship off of Sri Lanka seems a little indiscriminate. rip 150 sailors

"An American submarine sank an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters," U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said at the Pentagon.

There's the warrior spirit!

More indiscriminate than the 200 children they killed when they blew up a school?

by Birdman10687 m

More indiscriminate than the 200 children they killed when they blew up a school

Yes, that school was attached to a IRGC compound base. Unfortunate but understandable.

And they didn't bomb the school with knowledge of "Hey let's go kill a bunch of kids"

by Mark_K m

Unfortunate but understandable.

smh

"hey lets go kill a bunch of kids"

it's what the USA was founded on

it's like standard operating procedure

Why risk our own personnel to spare some kids when we can blame the people we're sneak-attacking for having their kids nearby?

Every civilian death in this thing is on Trump.

Obama had Iran agreeing to international monitoring, materials forfeiture, and refinement limits. Trump had to undo it because Obama.

Now Trump has started an unprovoked war and unleashed Israel, fresh off its recent uninhibited genocide campaign, to fire at will into densely populated areas.
