I actually looked it up and it does seem like a right vs left issue. People who respond to polls trend more political but the left is more deranged than previously imaginable.

no because I would have been following the news in iran the last 3 months before the strikes unlike a lot of people here and would see it justified .I think most people against it that are not drinking the antisemitic coolaid just didn't pay attention and don't understand the casus belli iran gave them. Or are isolationists (at least in the middleeast) which to be fair is a reasonable take considering what happened in the middle east in our lifetimes.

But this time around it clear the us has no long term plans. they are just lobbing missiles and seeing what sticks. Whatever iran becomes even if its worse they won't be much of a future threat based on demographics. So taking out a current threat with minimal commitment and not worrying about what it becomes seems kind of strategic.

ofc they have long terms plans. its the destruction of a society and the end of sovereignty. its the same plan as they had for Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Somalia. it ends with the extraction of all resources and the reduction of the people to a servant class or just waring factions.

So how does all that quell your anxiety you may lose family members during the bombing?
