Good to run this, too. Argo has to be for more than just Hollywood, but maybe we do Hollywood then run through day, then if we’re still alive go for embassy or something else?

Maybe bug because it’s a spy movie? Or file?

Not knowing whether a theater was actually shown in the movie makes me uncomfortable with guessing it.

And I think they’re CIA, which isn’t the State Dept, but I could be wrong.

I also have no idea if an embassy is featured, but I feel better about that than theater and state.

Well "state" also refers to governments in general.

But I'm just spitballing here.

Groundhog Day - unlimited

I have seen this movie dozens of times, just watched it again last month, and I literally don’t see a single word that connects. It also feels like this means 2+1, with the 2nd on the list (embassy) being the +1. No way is this a clue for just one word on the board. But I have absolutely no idea which two words it could be.

Seriously, I’m so confused. What obvious words am I somehow missing?

State is best (“once again the eyes of the nation have turned to this tiny village in western Pennsylvania, blahblahblahblahblah”😉, but state is out.

He goes to a movie with a date at some point (“I told you, call me Bronco.”😉. So, theater works.

The alarm clock is a main character in the film. So, tick works.

Tick - I know it was a flip clock. DO those tick? I don't recall. I've seen the movie many times and I know the alarm plays Sonny and Cher, but I don't recall if it's ticking before.

Thinking about it, tick is pretty hard to clue for. What other media features a tick? Was Andromeda Strain a tick-borne virus? There's The Tick, but you can't clue the word for itself. 60 Minutes is has a ticking watch in the opening, but that could also hit Millionaire and File.

I'd probably find something CLOCK related with a ticking clock.

But then again a clock does feature quite prominently in Groundhog Day.

I do not agree with this.

Our list is within striking range of the win. I think we have to trust the clue. Why do you think he's cluing unlimited ? Why leave a list if we're not going to use it?
