New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.
In
Gullanian was the true Pablo Picasso of writing letter to corporations. Sadly, most of the image links in this epic 4Life thread are busted.
The later posts made me lol.
Reminded me of a couple things:
- sending letters to state travel boards for tourism information in grade school
- filling out various online information request forms with increasingly lewd fake names, for example But* Porker McGillicutty, assuming most were automated
I apologize guys.
frank lloyd wright was the play.
Oddly though, Picasso had his Blue Period but there is no blue food.
Happy Pi Day folks !
I went to Burger King for this.
Burger King:
Free Hershey's Sundae Pie or Cinnamon Apple Pie with a $3.14 purchase for Royal Perks members.
Plenty of other Pi Day deals out there.
Might pick up a Pi Day pizza special somewhere for dinner.
Texas double whopper. It was fine. $11.50 lol, but it was last call and I got free fries.Took under a minute to get the meal. Under sauced a bit, but constructed well. Good job overall bk.
Inspired by this post I got a Texas double Whopper at my local BK which is, to put it politely, inconsistent at best. As mentioned above, I expect a super sloppy mess when I order one.
I was pleasantly surprised to get something much like that photo, except with way more obvious bacon and a fat tomato slice. It was prepared with care, sauced appropriately and was seriously hefty. It was also wrapped for eating and in a cardboard box, which I'm pretty sure is a first for the King at least in this area.
Add some fries and a FFDP and it was $14, ouch, but I enjoyed it anyway.
Checker's/Rally's has a $4 Baconzilla for St Patties Day (get it? Like hamburger patties. Really, it's funny.)
The King has $2 lg Onion Rings, today only, also.
I might stop in for a Shamrock Shake at Rick's, just for fun.
The BOGO $1 deals at Rick's are going away when the new $3 and under value menu rolls out in a few weeks. That's really going to suck.
It really is. The bog1$ double cheese and a drink is already pushing up on 7$. Harsh times
I don't want anything at mickey's without that. Their prices are way too high for me to go there. I can go to Carl's, BK, JITB, Sonic etc for better deals.
99 cent Sonic corndogs today.
only the brave should fly that high
give that doggy a treat already
Oh, man. If you could sub one or two fish patties for the hamburger patty(s) on a Big Mac or QPC, would you?
The McSurf n’ Turf Deluxe
Ok did I repost that FoF pic? If not, it hit the spot

MCD MC ARCH REVIEW
Unremarkable.
To explain: It tastes like a regular mcdonalds burger. As opposed to something like the Bacon King, which is saucy, juicy, and decadent with big flavors, the big arch was dry and milquetoast in comparison.
Not inedible, but not as good as a simple QPC. It was big though.
Looking at the picture, the crispy fried onions did nothing for the burger. I think this is the big fail, along with not enough sauce. Regular onyons would've been much better.
I think that's a pretty fair critique of the Big Arch. For me it's the sauce that is the meh. I kept thinking "this would be better if it just had Mac sauce".
