The "LOLCANADA" thread...again
So what's new?
I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet
The highlighted was what used to happen. I dont think it is going to be happening at all going forward. Canadian and American interests have diverged to the point I cant think of any scenario where Canada will be fighting with the US in any future wars. More likely they would be on opposite sides. A lot of them aren't even really allies, but there are plenty of other countr
You're such a r3tard it hurts reading your **** sometimes. Go ahead, think up a scenario where the USA and Canada would be on opposite sides in an actual war. No, you can't use the USA invading Canada as an example.
I'll wait.

Why in the world am I not allowed to use the most likely scenario as an example?
Of course the US invading Canada is the most likely scenario they end up on opposite sides of a war.
Crazy to think there are actual people so caught up in hysteria that they believe US would invade Canada.
lol at shifty trying to stuff kelhus into his silly trump-loving narratives as if kelhus is remotely like the pearl clutching grannies he is mad at that cancelled their trip to florida because of trump. Kelhus is an entirely different ballgame buddy.

Well, it would be framed differently than an invasion. But IF Canada tried to pull a Cuba and align with a hostile power (most likely CCP China but who knows what the future holds, maybe an Islamist EU or Britain down the road) the response could be extremely harsh.
And with its entire population and economic centers right on the border of the US, Canada has no capacity to resist.

With absolutely 0 respect to you or any American who thinks otherwise, the US will do exactly nothing to Canada no matter what Canada does on a geopolitical platform. This fantasy of yours is exactly just that. A fantasy.
It's sad you warmongering Americans don't learn from all your failed wars.

This is such a great example of "conspiracy soup". How do we justify one insane conspiracy about the US invading Canada? Just invent another insane conspiracy about Canada aligning with the CCP or another insane conspiracy theory about an islamist EU. But it makes it very hard to find a path back for Kelhus so the land of normal people because until you can't really untangle any of the conspiracy theories as they all reference some other conspiracy theories. The only way to save Kelhus is for him to recognize they are ALL conspiracy theories and the entire edifice he has created in his mind is nothing but dust.

Islamist EU is a conspiracy theory?
Yes, obviously.
Conservatives always give the wrong critique of the CBC. Here is a great example of a terrible CBC article: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/p.... The reason it is terrible is that it is uncritiqued stenography. It quotes poilievre's statement, then gets a CPC spokesman to do the interview and give the colour commentary. If you are you not paying attention and skimming you might not realize Seeback is a CPC person not an expert. And there is no expert on the story. No pushback.
But to be clear, Poilievre's plan is not good. Removing the GST on Canadian made cars sounds great - except giving a tax advantage to domestically produced things that you don't give to imports is a violation of trade rules 101 and in fact Canada has previously lost WTO cases trying something not dissimilar. Of course any idea is a complete nonstarter unless you can get Trump to agree.
Which always makes it hilarious when conservatives claim the CBC is biased against them, just they regularly do these articles with zero criticism, zero experts, just pure stenography of CPC talking points.
Fk off we don't need more people.

A decade of liberals ruining this country mostly by flooding it with millions of people no one voted for or asked for, and now they wanna keep flooding it. Harper era PR targets were 150k/yr, Trudeau normalized 500k. Now the media is JUMPING on every opportunity to paint every small drop in the PR numbers or housing prices like they're catastrophic natural disasters.
We need a complete pause on immigration with the exception of exceptional people like doctors, engineers and architects who are going to accelerate the building of affordable housing. As well as the current scam of a housing bubble to pop and a return to sane prices. Seven figures for a run down piece of trash that doesn't even have a garage is a SCAM!

Been ignoring news about Pierre for the most part. Just not worth following anymore. He's just not a good politician. Wish someone competent would step up instead but looks like Canada doesn't produce good politicians.

Ha! Careful. Uke will try and convince you this is exactly what we voted for. I had this debate with him after saying exactly that.

And deport millions. Especially those who have expired TEMPORARY visas who are now shamelessly protesting the streets saying ''good enough to work good enough to stay''. It's temporary for a reason. Now **** off back home.

Nope no bias in the CBC . Yet this person is testifying to it
You have PDS Pierre Derangement Syndrome the man is not even relevant

Indeed, I remember the 2021 election. It seems you don't. At the time, Canada was experiencing a wide labour shortage in part due to the pandemic. Conservative politicians were also right there calling for expanded access. We had a fullsome societal conversation about it. We all voted. The liberals won. Just as they had one in elections before and after that. This isn't to say that any government is magically immune to criticism based on their winning successive elections, but to suggest that nobody voted for campaign platforms that were more similar across the major parties than different is a bit silly.
Wow Mark Carneys government announces we will release 140,000barrels of oil
Problem is Canada doesn't have to oil storage ? Hmmm

Yeah we voted for all the immigrant shootings and extortion in Surrey and the west coast

Canada would experience population decline by a wide margin if it removed most immigration. Even the current figures depending on the analysis are from stable or even a tiny decrease in one analysis, that's with current level of immigration just because our birthrate is so low without immigration.
But I think your post probably misattributes the problem. A lot of the problem of housing isn't immigration. That's a factor, but it's not like you slow immigration and suddenly the cost to build a house drops by half. And if they did, if we got a shock so large that housing prices halved can you imagine the state the economy would be in in that scenario? Not pretty, I think.

Do you understand nothing about economics? This is increased production PER DAY. Canada is a net oil exporter. Unlike countries that are oil importers we are not required nor would it make much sense to have a bunch of oil stored. Instead we increase production. Which is what Carney is doing. Good job Carney.

Correct it's an increase in production which many oil experts say we will never hit . Why not call it that instead of saying Canada to release 140,000 barrels of oil

Uh....you need about 2 brain cells and 15 seconds of skimming any newspaper article to figure out it is an increase in production. Nobody is confused about what this is called but you.
Israel is pursuing a sweeping diplomatic and public relations campaign to convince Canada to change the way it tackles acts of antisemitism.
No.
