I don't think they'd resort to nukes unprovoked. I think they want them for deterence, which if ineffective would lead to them resorting to them. For instance, 'if' they had them right now, what do you think the chances are they'd use them? I think it's more likely than not they would.
The problem is that if iran had had nukes then this wouldn't be happening. And they know it.
While nuclear proliferation makes the world less safe, it make individual regimes that have them, much more safe. Not having them cost Khamenie (senior) & co their lives - that's much more important to later regimes than world peace.
American police have many restrictions that do not apply in other parts of the planet. I know you anarkkkidies enjoy lying about the role of police but do you really think anyone believes this?
What were the results of the investigations into the murders of rene good and Alex pretti? When were the pigs charged? As stated previously, I am a tankie Socialist, that is the farthest thing from anarkiddiness that I can think of.

And yes one guy did get a small charge but this was a cold blooded murder by 3 pigs. You probably have similar stories in your area. That's definitely not the only one around here.
It is almost a certain that police got away with far more killings like this in the past. Completely ignoring legal constraints, I'd imagine part of the reason why they don't now is better transparency and public scrutiny - something the IRCG appears to be able to completely bypass whenever convenient - and without any legal framework.

Around here they will kick peoples doors in, murder them in their sleep, and then charge the victims.
