I don't like fan so much as climbing doesn't really have notorious fans, it's a fling thing rather than watching.
Unless you mean that the number of fans someone has is climbing.
Box is possible but weak for me.
I don't really like Tick, it's a bit much of a stretch.
But I don't feel strongly enough to want you to change your list. You can go for it, if my thoughts haven't really changed your mind on anything.
Your thoughts don't tell me what you would bold and in what order, so I’m not sure how my mind is supposed to be changed.
Two of the ones you don’t like are after pass. What would you put in place of tick, and how would you rearrange the makeups?

Also, how does agent fit? The clue is climbing, which is why I considered the three you don’t like. I’m not sure how agent fits climbing.
If it was climber, then maybe I’d get agent and would’ve put smuggler and pirate higher.
My bad, for a second I thought it was a 4 clue.
My only reason for liking agent is that it's generally a person and people climb. It's weak but I don't like the other ones much.
But I'm not dead set against yours either.
I'm happy to go with your list if you prefer it. I don't have strong feelings beyond the first 3.
