Please don’t gamble any more this trip. Not even a quarter. You've had a massive touch, and given what you’ve explained about your circumstances lately, this money should prove a very useful injection. The marginal benefit of winning an additional, say, $10,000 would be far less impactful IMO than the pain at losing half of it back.
Keep it pure, bank the 20k and forget about it, and focus on smashing it at 1/3 and having a great poker trip just as you’d planned.

Thank you, that is 100% what I’m gonna do. No blackjack, no VP no nothing this trip. Gonna play as much 1/3 as I physically can, which is A LOT!
I’m also planning on do some serious shopping, but even if the 1/3 game goes super bad I’m still bringing home at least 15k.

Beautiful hit Muck. About 20,000:1 there. I did that twice yesterday, but I was playing 50-60 lines at quarters at the local. 2k total from those hits, MANY draws at it obv and still booked a loser :(

Thought of a couple questions about this, Muck.
I've heard stories of staff getting into room safes. No idea of these are apocryphal/ Any concerns about taking cash?
How about getting back to the EU with a pile of cash like that? Just declare and you're through, or could you be hassled?
Once again, glad you got this positive after the tough stretch you've been through.

Never had any issues with safes, doubt it happens at Park MGM
As for the cash, just declare at every stop and that’s it, nobody really cares or even checks.

Funny thing is, I was talking to my wife 5 hours before the trip. I was telling her that I feel that I should cancel because it’s just too much mentally with everything and being away from the family 2 weeks is pretty rough right now. She said that I needed the trip and it would help to put my mind elsewhere. I was soooooo close to cancelling last second but thought **** it what’s the worst that can happen.

YES! Those cheap room safes are too easy to bust into. They show you how on youtube! Go down to the main cashier and ask them if you can put it in their safe. It's common to do that.
