I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

It is super simple! You are scared to even offer an explanation for why 88% of women under 30 don't have kids. Women are the ones that grow babies and give birth, they know their cycles and are the ones that decide if sex happens or not. Empowering them with the responsibility of Western civilization population survival is hardly "mansplaining" or whatever, it's actually the op

LMAO. No, buddy, it isn't bravery to try and go up and mansplain to women that western civilization's survival depends on them. It's just ****ing creepy.

And ineffective. Like nope that 88% isn't going to listen to your little manosphere lecture and suddenly decide to start having more kids. I at least supported pro-natal policies like CCB and $10 a day daycare that are steps in the right direction of making costs for parents more accessible. That's might help a touch. But your lecturing? Nope.

by Pablito

If you think I have a problem with too many immigrants ONLY because they're Indian, then no, you're wrong.

Maybe. But you sure keep talking about Indians a lot.

by Pablito

Respectfully, if you actually think I'm arguing against bringing in doctors and nurses, you've genuinely lost the plot.

I didn't suggest you did. But this is the squeeze of your position. You don't seem to object when it is grape pickers and meat packers and fish processors and a wide swath of the TFW program. And you don't seem to object to the high skill stuff either, doctors and nurses (and perhaps not even the students who are the future doctors and nurses?). But the more things you don't have a problem with, the less the DEPORT MILLIONS lines make much actual sense. It seems what you are - at the core - mad about is being served by an Indian at Tim Hortons. And when pointed out that 95% of Tim Horton's workers sourced locally and 78,000 unfilled restaurant positions you concoct fabrications about being able to get 2000 resumes for your cafe by lunch.

It isn't going to work because it's not the point. At all. I'm all for international students who come here to STUDY and then GO BACK HOME, their money is more than welcome. I'm all for the smartest of people to come here and become doctors and nurses we very much need. What I am not for is international students who come here, apply to some bs degree, work 24 hours or more(yes this happens) outside of campus and take jobs from OUR youth and elderly.

I don't think you understand the economics. At say the University of Toronto, a year of undergrad tuition is north of sixty grand. You know how expensive housing is - although many international students are forced to take the cheapest and least desirable accommodation possible. Working at timmies for 24 hours a week (or risking your visa and working more ) just isn't a viable economic plan to profit.

Worse, you can really only maintain a gimmick of doing the minimum in your studies while mostly working for like, maybe a year. Because if you don't maintain a full course load, you'll lose your visa. And you can't work 40/50/60 hours a week and be easily passing your courses. That's super hard.

Look, I'm a professor that works with hundreds of international students a year. I see how incredibly hard most of them work. And I also fail anyone that isn't doing the work, and now you've spent your tens of thousands of dollars of tuition and not gotten anything for it, are on academic probation, and at risk for losing your student visa.

When did I say it was bravery? What are you rambling about, also when did I ever say it was men that had to explain it to them? Your reaction to this is very bizarre, not sure why you are white knighting so hard.

by uke_master

Yes we all know you want more people reliant on government. So are you saying population is declining because of cost?

by Shifty86

Super simple problem to solve, encourage people (women mostly) to have more babies.

This is the claim I'm laughing at you for. Of course, a creepy dude on the internet mansplaining that women should have more babies is unlikely to encourage anyone to do anything. Hardly "super simple" at all.

But you're the guy with the soul read here on what encouragement these women need, so just lol of all lols at the pathetic attempt to try and turn it around on me. Like buddy you are following the conversation so poorly that you can't even recognize I'm mocking you for "bravery" because you accused me of being "scared". I don't know what to say, read a book maybe?

Says the creepy guy that thinks men can put on a wig, change their pronouns and call themselves women. Tells people climate change is destroying the planet and wants the government to force people to change their behaviors, screamed at people that they needed to inject a vaccine if they wanted to leave their house. Yes encouraging people (mostly women) it's a good idea to start having more babies before 30, is a super simple thing to do to try and solve the population decline, that shouldn't be controversial.

You were the one that brought up population decline being an issue.

If you aren't scared why won't you say your opinion on why 88% of women under 30 don't have kids? You are always quick to voice your opinion on climate change, immigration, trans kids, Conservatives, etc.

by Shifty86

Childless, single and supporting themselves?

It's hard to say because the trans issue really muddies the data:

".... 75% of high-achieving men had children."

by John21

It's hard to say because the trans issue really muddies the data:

Well ya, women who want children seek out men that can provide the most resources, standard stuff.

But your argument was women had kids before because they needed men to support them.

Really sad how the idea of trans people just living their lives has totally wrecked an entire generation of conservatives.

I think you're confusing "laughing at your idiocy" with "scared". Unlike you, I don't think it is "super simple" and we can just magically make more babies by mansplaining to women the fate of western civilization is on their shoulders. I think the choice of having babies is complex, individualistic, and depends on many, many factors. I don't think you are capable of any form of nuanced debate on this topic given how hilariously inept your responses have been thus far. Like you've descended to generic bashing of trans people. So we are firmly in point and laugh stage.

University of Toronto. Lol. As if we haven't seen hundreds of thousands of students entering Canada going to bullshit 2 year diploma mills getting degrees in hot garbage and somehow these people have pathways to PR. As per usual, UKE denies reality. I guess that's easier than admitting this country is cooked.

I do not for 1 second care about the economics of an international student. It's entirely irrelevant to me that housing is expensive and they need to work to supplement their lifestyle here. If they can't afford it without taking jobs, off campus, stay home. Canadian youth can't find jobs. Make sure every last Canadian teenager and boomer has a job before some random international student can work off campus. The fact international students are still allowed to work, with the unemployment rates we have, shows you the system is rotten to the core.

I mean, it is that simple. If you want to argue that having kids in Canada sucks, especially when you're a young Canadian unable to find a job or afford housing. Sure, couldn't agree more. Other than that it definitely is that simple. If Canadians don't start having more babies we'll continue importing low quality immigrants who do breed like rabbits and will eventually replace Canadians.

You should care, as it is crucial to your premise. I think you have this false impression that a big portion of international students are just sort of scamming the system. I'm pointing out the economics of that don't work. Tuition is so unbelievably sky high for international students in the tens of thousands of dollars, and cost of living too, that working 24 hours a week (or, illegally, more than 24 hours a week) at timmies isn't some big profitable adventure. The economics of that scam is -EV in most cases, and as you fail your courses and put on academic probation after 8 months it won't be long lasting even if it was +EV. And because international student tuition brings in so much money from external foreign countries into the Canadian economy - directly benefiting domestic students - it is a win for us. Does that make more sense?

by Pablito

Ok so it sounds like you aren't talking about international students at Canada's largest university. Notice how every time I post your claim shrinks and shrinks and shrinks? We find this and that and this other thing are all totally reasonable, so now we have look at an ever smaller pool to find the sources of your DEPORT MILLIONS claims.

Of course, I haven't denied anything. I've spoken ITT about things like the ridiculous growth at Conestoga college which did a disservice to international students, and actually was totally ok with the liberals clamping down on that kind of "diploma mill" thing while believing they overstepped in restricting international students to the comprehensive and medical/doctoral universities. Of course, pathway is no guarantee of success. Students still need to pay tens of thousands of tuition, successfully graduate, at a post graduating work permit, work in a skilled job and only then can you be in the crapshoot that is applying for PR, and harder today than before. I'm presuming your claim will shrink here as well: a whole bunch of those people that are a) educated with b) valid work experience in c) skilled professions....those are probably the people we WANT staying in Canada - right?

I mean, it is that simple. If you want to argue that having kids in Canada sucks, especially when you're a young Canadian unable to find a job or afford housing. Sure, couldn't agree more. Other than that it definitely is that simple. If Canadians don't start having more babies we'll continue importing low quality immigrants who do breed like rabbits and will eventually replace Canadians.

Maybe you all are confusing "simple to state" and "actually realistically makes a difference". Like sure, getting on a bullhorn and yelling at women the fate of western civilization depends on them having babies is "simple" to do. You can do it right now. Does that actually change fertility rates? Colour me skeptical.

It's like im addressing SYSTEMIC issues and you're just focused on trying to paint me as some racist who hates international students because they're Indian. Fine, if being Canadian first makes me racist, I'm racist.

so now we have look at an ever smaller pool to find the sources of your DEPORT MILLIONS claims.

Not really. Millions of visas expired this year, you think they all left? No. Deport every single last one.

Buddy there isn't a country in the world where "every last teenager has a job". That just isn't how it works. Not close. Like I just quoted you how there was 78,000 unfilled restaurant jobs because you were all furious at indians working at timmies, but teenagers (let's just assume you mean 18-20) aren't working for many many reasons, and trying to pin this on international students is missing the mark. Besides, domestic students who go to university are highly subsidized by international student tuition - they are benefiting!

The UKE classic. Deny facts and back it up by some random nonsense no one asked about.

Who cares we have the unemployment rates we have. International students are benefiting you! Tuition gone up 50% over the last 10 years? While bringing in RECORD numbers of international students but we’re all benefiting boys!

Lol at saying I'm ignoring facts. You're entire argument thus far is basically an emotional one, devoid of facts. I've brought a range of facts into the conversation but you ignore them every time. It just keeps pivoting back to this generic angst. Like your position is so wildly unrealistic and so wildly misunderstanding how economies work, that to suggest - and then reemphasize - that blocking international students from working until every single domestic person has a job is hilariously inept. Like it is an order of magnitude wrong when you just compare the size of the two buckets. And a lot of this is circular. I don't think you'd be excited for your own 18 year old to start their career by filling that meat packing job the evil TFW is doing now - which takes us right back to the real thing you are actually mad about seems to have a single example thus far recorded in the thread: brown people serving you coffee at timmies. Of course you ignored the fact that 95% of tim horton's jobs don't use foreign workers, but lol trying to turn things around like I'm denying facts. LMAO.

by Pablito

That's correct, international students massively subsidize tuition rates. You seem profoundly ignorant and uninterested in the basic economics here. At the same time, in a lot of provinces, provincial governments have been dramatically reducing inflation adjusted support per domestic student. So unfortunately as costs rise against frozen provincial transfers, a lot of institutions do some combination of raising tuition and increasing the number of international students. And with the liberal squeeze on international students, a lot of higher education institutions are facing freezes and cuts themselves, lowering the quality of services provided to domestic students. International student education should be thought of a bit like an export, they come here bringing tens of thousands of dollars sometimes over 50,000 a year in tuition from their parents and you're mad they are working for 24 hours at 16 bucks an hour at timmies to be able to afford rent. While training to become high skilled workers where you previously told us things like doctors and nurses was totally fine - but those doctors and nurses all gotta get through first year university too.

I don't think you'd be excited for your own 18 year old to start their career by filling that meat packing job the evil TFW is doing now

I'd be excited for my 18 year old to start their career at Tim Hortons, Burger King, McDonalds, Fresh-Co, Sobeys, Loblaws etc. Oh wait, he can't. Our youth can't find jobs. Wonder why.

Of course you ignored the fact that 95% of tim horton's jobs don't use foreign workers,

More than 95% of Tim Hortons employees are hired locally.

Less than 5% of team members are hired through the TFW program, which is a federal, tightly regulated program that requires employers to prove a labour shortage before any application can be approved.

Local employees at Tim Hortons include Canadians born here, new Canadian citizens, students, seniors, permanent residents, international students, and people with valid Canadian work permits. These individuals make up the overwhelming majority of our workforce and are here now, legally allowed to work in Canada.

Just realized you're just copy-pasting ''facts'' from the Tim Hortons propaganda page. Tim Hortons does in fact employ more than 5% of its workers NOT Canadian born but hide behind weaselly word games like ''hired locally'' and then include international students and people with open work permits in that category. This does explain why you were so focused on TFW and nothing else. Naughty naughty!

Olympic level gaslighting.

Many of the fast food outlets have learned to game the system they advertise the job higher no one than say cant find help and use the TFW system its just a reality.

Youth unemployment is very high

I am surprised we have not heard from Uke on how badly Pierre sounded on Joe Rogan. Oh wait the critics said he was great

A lot of minimum wage shitty service jobs like these that you list really struggle to find people to fill them. People don't typically like those jobs, they havbe super high turnover, and I thikn your suggestion that today's youth are unable to get a job like that if they want it is false. It's like your brain can't wrap your head around the concept that two things can true at the same time. There can be high youth unemployment AND it can be hard to fill undesirable jobs.

LMAO. You started this entire thing by raving about TFWs! I'm sorry I keep talking about the thing you brought up. This keeps happening: your criticism gets narrower and narrower and narrower as we exclude all the totally valid things you allegedly don't have a problem with, both low skill (Ex meat packing) and high skill (ex nurses). The real source of your ire seems to be focused on brown people serving you coffee at timmies etc. Yet here we have it that the TFW is a trivial portion of that workforce. And sure some international students might get hired at timmies, as I suggested, but this is hardly deserving of your DEPORT MILLIONS. These are totally valid, local, legal people who are paying tends of thousands of tuition (far more than they make at timmies) and potentially going to become those high skill careers you seem to think are ok. And as there is an order of magnitude more young working age domestic people than there are international students, your hilariously inept viewpoint that there shouldn't be a single unemployed young person before an international student is allowed to work just doesn't make an iota of sense.

Ooh please. Flipping burgers at McDonalds or pouring coffee at Tim Hortons is hardly ''undesirable'' for youth who are trying to enter the workforce. We've done this for a thousand years, long before the liberals decided to destroy the economy and bring in millions of low quality immigrants to work in these jobs. It was my first job, it was my job through uni(till I found poker) just like hundreds of thousands Canadian kids did long before you and I.

Hell. 8-9 years ago, the last time I went to Timmies before it became ****, it was a combination of older people and kids. Canadians.

and I thikn your suggestion that today's youth are unable to get a job like that if they want it is false.

Sure, the suggestion confirmed by MPs on both sides of the isle, a topic of debate for months now in the house of commons. A suggestion nobody but you denies anymore. Yes, it's false.

Not enough. Deport millions. Give our youth the jobs these immigrants are taking and continue the immigration policy we had 10 years ago. I'm also not entirely sure why we're just talking TFW? Dunno if I mentioned it and that's why but the entire immigration system is an issue. LMIA's still being approved for far too many chains. International students being allowed to work when our own students can NOT find jobs.

Oh look, another lie! It's not like I haven't been very clear about what my issue is. You're just upset you're once again being exposed for the bad faith debater you are. A professor who can't even properly interpret a paragraph. You were the one who said ''95% of tim horton's jobs don't use foreign workers,''. Clearly this was incorrect.

Anyways after your 5th attempt at calling me racist, lets just agree that's what I am and move on. We're clearly never going to agree on anything.
