Lowkey started playing just for the rewards and now I'm actually hooked

Was browsing Player City and saw the Season of Legends announcement. I originally just wanted a share of that €512k pool but the gameplay on the qualifying slots is actually really good.

Already started climbing the leaderboard and trying to get my points up. My friend already jumped in and won a small drop yesterday so now I feel like I’m missing out lol. Is it just me or do their prize pools keep getting bigger every time? https://cutt. ly/QtUTwgaX

Was anybody in Tournament #130998 starting on March 23 at 20:10 PST (23:10 EST)? I'm not sure if anyone will ever believe this, but I did manage to take a few screenshots towards the end. Basically, around the time the MTT was ITM, the tournament froze and everyone received a message saying a new table will pop up in 5 minutes or the tournament will be canceled.Approximately 5

That is no longer just a software bug β€” it’s a tournament integrity issue.
If a player was still alive in the event but not assigned to any table, then the tournament state itself was broken. At that point an ICM-style resolution is probably the only realistic damage-control option, but CoinPoker should explain very clearly which exact tournament state they are using for that calculation.

Both "just a software bug" and "tournament integrity issue" are understatements. I was actually going to wait for them to present a resolution before posting anywhere, but their email responses indicate very little information or admission of error/fault so I felt compelled to inform the community.

The issue is there were many software bugs (i.e., blinds moving up 3-4 levels at restart, uneven players per table, tournament randomly pausing multiple times while the tournament clock was still running) leading to compromise of game integrity. On the other hand, the players who were alive at cancellation expect the tournament to be chopped based on 3 players, while some players knocked out before cancellation might also want compensation for earlier bugs also. I won't be happy unless I get to recover some of the losses from the session via the pots I rightfully won after ITM and at the FT, because I simply won like no hands elsewhere except in this MTT.

I'll report on whether they make things right for me or the extent to which they avoid taking responsibilities. The funniest part about this is it seems like nobody really cares, and the most ironic part about this is the two other players I was three-handed with were complete recs who weren't sure what they should care about. Lol.

Fair enough β€” that makes sense.

At that point it’s clearly not one isolated bug, but multiple failures stacking on top of each other and ultimately compromising the tournament itself.

I also agree the resolution becomes messy, because once the state of the event is corrupted, the question is no longer just how to compensate the remaining players, but also whether earlier bugs may have already affected other players before cancellation.

That said, I don’t think compensation for losses from other tables in the same session is a realistic or fair standard. The only thing that can reasonably be addressed is the tournament itself and the exact state of that tournament when the integrity failure occurred.

At a minimum, CoinPoker should clearly explain which exact tournament state they are using for any compensation decision, because without that, nobody can even judge whether the resolution is reasonable or not.

Fwiw, I never stated anything about compensation for losses from other tables, a "losing session" does add to my frustration but I tend to think the best vendors would use a combination of logic and math for compensations.

The difficulty in this case is there is no way to make everyone happy with the $1, 959 prize pool because of the large number of technical errors leading to different players being screwd over at different phases of the tournament. If they wanted to satisfy the player base, they'll likely have to pony up at least a few hundred to account for the different types of errors and inconvenience caused from multiple rounds of misinformation, because in the end players will at least want the ICM value at the stage when they were knocked out. Then there's still the three survivors and fourth guy who was invisible from ~20 players on.

I will say it was the only time in the last two decades where I was wishing I can play with other regs. Both of the other guys were playing like 40/30 and didn't even really know how ICM chops work.

New registered account on Coinpoker from Louisiana. It lets me go to the tournament lobby, but not sports or casino. Any other Louisiana players here that happens to?

Yea, same for me. I've only been able to play poker since being on coinpoker. I consider that a good thing though so I've never cared enough to figure out why

Appreciate that. Thank you

Can someone please let me know if NJ players or registration and deposit/withdrawel in NJ is allowed?

Thanks

Minor issue compared to everything else but another tournament issue is that the lobby timers are simply wrong.

I.e. lobby says 10 minutes left in late registration. Set a 10 minute timer and go check. 10 minutes later it will often be 2-3 minutes left.

This is a consistent pattern recognized since launch across many tournaments.

@SolomonL As an outsider looking in, the best solution I can see is to pay out the remaining 4 players using ICM at the time the tournament discontinued. The 4th player appears to have had an unfair advantage, but it arguably could have happened to anyone given that nothing nefarious was going on and would simply just be his lucky day.

I have not heard anything for the past 36 hours or so, but they did state 72 hours as the time frame. I am hoping for this outcome as well since I was 2/3 in chips, but as a business owner I understand:

1. The site management's priority is to keep the fish happy since for-profit players will play no matter what.
2. They could decide on an outcome more favorable for lower stakes players and not higher stakes players using $15's as table fillers.
3. The fourth player isn't necessarily always happy with what happened since he got booted off the tables at around ~20 players (his ICM value was $166 or so with the 17, 775 chips). I guess any competent player would be ecstatic to get a four-way chop with 1.25% of the chips in play, but this is not necessarily how everyone thinks.

I do appreciate the 100% rakeback, and I'm not sweating this super hard due to the lower buyin/prizes. I sure hope this doesn't happen in bigger events and was just a one-time thing.

Its legal to play in nevada?

They had the best software of any site. Now they upgraded, from which I see no upgrade. They were up there with Ultimate Bet software. Now I can say this is not as good as the prior.

It still boggles my mind how the poker software of UB in 2010 was better than the majority of sites now. It was straight forward and easy to navigate.

Hey guys. Did the old rakeback system (CHP) change to a more transparent one, or is it still the same? Thanks

There is no more CHP, the rakeback goes to your account daily, all you have to do is hit transfer or claim before it goes to your balance

Window to the front seems to be slightly improved, but still needs work. If you have 2 simultaneous tables go off the same table, the first one will not pop up after you made an action on the second one.

The time it takes to load a table is king boggling. It’s so bad. The app runs ways smoother than the desktop site!

The old software was so much better!

For me, I would prefer full ring tables. It used to be 7 max in cash games but now its only 6 max.

Any chance Coinpoker will introduce 8 or 9 max cash games in the future, at least for the micro stakes?

Playing two whales heads up and client crashes and kicks me out and come back and they are gone. The shambles this new software is an embarrassment. Coin poker rep do you actually read these and feed them back to site!?

Wait till your playing several donks and they disconnect at the same time and instead of simply sitting them out it kicks them off the table. It has happened so many times HU i have long lost count

i thought it was just my computer.

Yeah this is insane. I can only really grind 4 tables tbh. 6+ there is a lot of lag

I've passed on all the feedback to the devs, thanks guys. Thanks for your patience.

There is going to be a mass exodus when the 100% rake back is over, including myself.
