Time for a dedicated thread to the war.

How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?

That's a whole lot of words to say yes. I get it though - I've curb stomped you on this at least 3 times and you don't want a 4th. I appreciate the obfuscation rather than just lying and saying no, though.

Mind read all you want, dude.

Ask me a serious question, and I will endeavor to answer it.

And anyway, why do you need to create impossible contrary-to-fact scenarios to find out what I think or what I might do? You don't seem to be such a dullard that you can't come up with a realistic question.

It's a simple scenario: knowing what you know now, would you have voted for Trump in 2024?

Pretty fukking simple question. Anyone in their right mind would say they wouldn't because, you know, we're kind of flirting with WWIII and Trump is fukking with the market to enrich his family and friends.

by Dunyain m

We're quickly at the stage where the only way to try to justify what the usa and israel have done is otherwise 'the end of the world'!!!

Well, at least that question is CLOSER to RealityLand, so I'll answer it because I'm such a good sport. My answer is: NO!!

Eschatology is always around in religious societies. Jewish eschatology is also quite prevalent in their society and has been heightened by the recent actions of Netanyahu. By the way, so is Christian eschatology and end times prophecy in the US. I’m not sure why we’re taking a heightened look at end times prophecy in Shia Islam as if it’s the only one implicated by the war. In fact there has been very little concrete in the way of anyone on their side talking about that, which is why Dunyain can only make vague gestures towards it.

by Luckbox Inc m

JFC how are you still allowed to post here?

No one gives a **** who you think Elway is.

It’s pretty dangerous he is allowed to post the way he does. If he ever acts out violently in real life I’m sure investigators would come to these forums and say the warning signs were there.

The Islamic Republic of Iran's end-time beliefs are rooted in Twelver Shia eschatology, centering on the return of the Twelfth Imam (the Mahdi), who is believed to be in "occultation" and will return to establish global justice. The regime's, particularly the IRGC's, ideology, often called Mahdism, holds that leaders can proactively hasten this return by fostering chaos, opposi

Or MACO.

But if we're going there the nukes are hardly an issue since that's way worse, nor is it really an existential threat for Israel let alone pretty much the rest of the world. If that happens, I'm thinking we’ll evacuate Israel (shouldn't take more than a month or so) and use it as a base, the whole world will come together, we’ll put the fires out, divvy up the ME among the major powers and bring the Israelis back.

Nonsense. You would have either not voted or voted 3rd party. Either of those choices would effectively be voting for Trump.

Can't remember where, possibly the moderation thread? He's definitely answered a similar question before. The hypothetical was that if he knew what he knows now, would he vote Trump or Harris. His answer was that if it was a dichotomous choice between those two, he would vote Trump again.

Yeah, that was me who asked him there. He's answered twice before and both times he said he would vote for Trump. He then gets mocked for it, so now he wants to pussyfoot around the question because there literally is nothing Trump could do that would put Harris above Trump.

For all I know he could be one of those Revelation kooks that thinks Trump is going to usher in the second coming of Christ and that's why he supports a pedophile and/or pedophile supporter running the country.

I agree, the signs were very obviously there if suckbox ever does something in real life

Also if you ever get arrested for your raping

Even Mattis, who was fully on board with Iraq and Afghanistan and opposed pulling troops out in 2021, is telling Trump that regime change is an idiotic idea.

by Elway m

There are a lot of people accusing Israel of war crimes but they are unable to communicate exactly what they are.

There's an endless litany of cited war crimes over in the Palestine thread but you're not actually interested.

Trump says we've won the war. I guess we can shut this thread down.

Market manipulation is simply par for the course these days, business as usual. Conservatives don't bat an eye. All hail god-king Trump.

Yeah. However, expect more Luigi Mangiones, and celebrated at that

This chart is like watching exclusively rich people taunt everyone else

My guess is if the SC justices were all in their 50s that would swing some Reps away from Trump.

Looks like Santa is coming for Trump

-Iran is giving the US a big present

-US will have control of the straight or Hormuz

-Iran will stop any nuclear development

-Plus other party favors yet to be announced

In other words, anything less than an unconditional surrender and a complete opening of the strait tomorrow will be a let down.

In a normal world one would temper expectations and then sit back and watch while people say..."wow, that is an amazing deal."

Not Trump. Whatever happens from now on will fail to meet the hype.. And, it could massively fail. Only Trump.....SMH....

When I read "big prize" their enriched uranium stockpile came to mind. So that plus opening the Straight would count as a win I guess. The over $100B in Iranian assets the US is blocking might play into it.

I guess one the bigger concerns is whether or not the US is talking with the people/group/regime that has the power (formally or informally)??

Closing the Strait obviously affects China a lot more than the US but Iran isn't going to want that.

China’s Wang Yi pushes Iran to talk with US about ending war

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged his Iranian counterpart to engage in negotiations as soon as possible with the US to end the war in the Middle East, according to a government statement on Tuesday.

Wang, an influential top diplomat for Beijing, made the comments to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in a phone call, stressing that all parties should resolve disputes through dialog and negotiation rather than the use of force.

β€œTalking is better than fighting,” Wang said, according to the statement. β€œAll parties should seize every opportunity for peace and start talks as soon as possible.”

For sure. But Pakistan seems to be involved and I'm thinking they know.

I’ve already obliterated the biggest false accusation of β€œgenocide”. Unfortunately no one wants to counter what I think are very good arguments.
