Urban off to Vegas again 1st April to 5th April. Family trip

After the last trip in November I have been desperate to head off again but have not found any time. My daughter recently had a really important operation and I have been needed around alot more for her. As a present for her I promised a trip to Vegas as she has always wanted to go. Little backstory at the age of 5 we had to go from the UK to the US for a lifechanging operation for her. She could not walk before but now after that operation she can walk with a frame and for longer distances she still needs a wheelchair but she has alot more freedom. Now at the age of 11 she is facing further issues with dealing with the fact she knows she is different from others.

So this is a much needed trip for her as well as me. Knowing Vegas is good for access and everything like that I thought it was the perfect place. Although she is desperate to play a bubble craps machine but she has another 10 years to wait for that!! Like me she is a craps fanatic.

As for me, well this has been a mad period of winning money like it going out of fashion. Honestly the heater is insane and long may it continue. Just for clarity I signed up to a new site online back in November and I have a net position to date of £92,000 playing craps online!!

So bankroll wise we are healthy. For this trip I am thinking $20,000 but have plenty more if things go wrong.

Staying at the Horseshoe suite as the host has managed to hook me up with it comped for a few nights and a really reduced rate for the other nights.

TR wise as this is a family trip it will include more food, shows and things to do with kids around Vegas. Gambling wise I will have a bit of time in the evening but I do plan to go heavy in the pits. I have always wondered why I see families so miserable when I walking Vegas so I hope to be able to reverse this trend and have a wicked time.

My eldest is a fan of MJ so we plan to see the tribute show. Other mini trips will be stuff like Area 15, aquarium and maybe something daft like the Slotzilla. However I do know the first day we plan to be around the pool as we have a Cabana booked.

Let's F'ing Go!!!

I'm in! Sounds like a blast for the family -- there's something for everyone in Vegas. It can be tough getting around the strip with a wheelchair -- just plan ahead. Also, if you have to go out of your way to get to one of the outside elevators, have someone go ahead to make sure its running. Amazing how often they are down.

Amazing run with the craps. I mean, holy crap! LOL.

Have a wonderful time. Can't wait to see all you do.

Sure, I'm in. Safe travels, hope you guys have a lot of fun.

In.

I'll suggest the Pinball Hall of Fame as an awesome couple of hours to kill for all ages. Not just pinball machines, all kinds of arcade games. South strip, near the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign (two birds, one Uber?)

Got a few plans now in the run up to this trip.

Thursday

Pool most of the morning
Blackjack tournament in the early afternoon while the kids can chill more at the pool
Evening Piff the Magic Dragon.

Friday

Shark Reef at Mandalay bay
Pinball Hall of fame
Head down to Freemont later to show the kids why drugs are bad mkay
Might catch a Cirque show

Saturday

The better half is off to some horse ranch
Adventuredome at Circus Circus
Evening MJ tribute show

Sunday

We leave in the evening so plan on doing a bit of shopping at the outlets

Foodwise nothing is booked yet although I am pretty lucky in that they are not fussy eaters so anywhere will be fine.

Looks like the only time I am going to get to gamble will be early morning or late evening so if I have shorter play times I may bet a little higher than normal for me. Will want to chase my first handpay of 2026 playing on the BC machines.

5 days to go!

Looks like a great itinerary!

IN.

Less than 24 hours till we all fly

Shoes
Case
Players cards
Bankroll
And the doggo I gotta leave behind

Give doggy a scratch for me before leaving! Safe travels.

Great action shot on slurping the snoot

Everything going so smoothly today

Dropped the doggo off at the kennels for the week. Within 30 mins I am getting all sorts of cool pictures being sent to me showing how much of a good time she is having.

Zero traffic on the way to the airport

Amazing service at the airport. Staff have really looked after us and taken all the right care of my kid.

Vegas in just off 10 hours!

Vegas in just off 10 hours!

Cute doggo, and welcome to Vegas soon!

Safe travels.

So the flight was as smooth as anything.

Staff on BA are second to none and I am thinking of flying with them on my planned WSOP visit. Cannot see me flying Virgin ever again.

Kids seem to have had the same buzz I get stepping off the plane and seeing all the lights just as much as I do. Was great to see.

Check in at the Horseshoe was seamless so all in all it's been a good day.

Decided to head down to replace my players card as it was not working. Sat down at the BC machine and unloaded my unlucky $50s into it.

I turned $500 into $0 pretty damn quickly so put another $500 in using $100 bills instead.

Went on a decent roll and hit my stop loss of $2k

Looking at the picture the last bet was close to $600 so I had spun that $500 up nicely.

However it must be because I am tired, not thinking straight or whatever but instead of taking the profit I went $2k across, worked the come out and instant 7. Idiot!!!! So 1k down.

Pretty tilting to think about it now and not like me at all. Needless to say I need sleep so off to bed and see what tomorrow brings.

Holy crap! May I be so crude as to inquire about the cost of that palace?

I don't even let 50's into my wallet. When the bank tries to give them to me, I say "Think again".

huge suite!

Suite wise I had 2 nights comped and the other 2 nights are $250 a night. I have paid for a late check out also so total cost for the 4 nights is $560. It's massively helped as well because it's so big and great for access with my daughter's wheelchair. My only grip is that it is a little dated but I really am nitpicking at this point because for the price I really cannot complain.

Had a fun morning waking up at 3am, managing to fall back asleep only to wake up realising I forgot to bring my travel adaptors! Absolute idiot move by me again but I went downstairs to pop to CVS and grab one. On the way the BC machine was calling me.

My word I have never rolled some many PSOs in my life. Think it was 5 in a row and I was looking at being another $1500 down. Sigh so switch up and put my last $500 I was willing to spend on the don't pass. It rolls a 4 and I did not realise it lets you do 4x odds on a 4. That was too good to turn down so I chuck $2k in the machine and take the odds. Here we go then. Next roll 9, hard 6 and BANG 7 and the machine locks up for a $4k handpay. First of the trip.

FWIW I think every large Vegas hotel has Accessible rooms.

Horseshoe has so many different craps machines. They have stadium craps, ordinary bubble craps, and crapless craps. I hope you weren't playing crapless, they supposedly have crappy (har, har) odds.

Nice!

Even though that handpay looked nice it only put me break even for the session and I classed myself very lucky to do so.

After returning back to the room with chargers I asked the kids to get ready for breakfast and we headed down for a cheap eat at Ellis Island.

$14.99 for steak, eggs, potatoes and toast. Of course I could not finish most of this but it was filling enough and tasted pretty good too. Solid 7/10 all the time here.

Now I had booked a Cabana for us all at the Horseshoe pool for this day but I found out via email the day before that the pool was in fact shut. How on Earth can they take bookings and take payment for these when the venue is shut is beyond me and was pretty tilting. However the good news was that they would honour our booking at Paris.

So we headed to the pool at the Paris Hotel. Now the even more tilting part is that they never had any confirmation that my booking was being honoured here and that all the cabanas were fully booked. It's not one for now but I will stick a complaint in tomorrow about this.

We were seated however a little closer to the pool because of my daughter. The pool itself is pretty decent but it was far too cold. We have missed the mini heatwave they were having last week and 22c just felt a little cold with that breeze.

One plus was our waitress who if you like them thicker than a snicker you will enjoy this picture I took of her

Come lunch time the kids had fully had enough as they were getting tired and they wanted to head back for a quick nap. In all fairness I had enough of it being cold so was glad they wanted to head back. Got them a small lunch and as they were napping and the wife was tired I left them to sleep while I went to degen for a few hours.

This is where it gets crazy.

Buy in for $3k at the craps table. Within 4 shooters it's all gone. More god damn tilting PSO after PSO and it's not even come to me to shoot.

So we lock in for another $3k. It's my opportunity to shoot. So $50 on the pass line and we roll a point of 6. Brilliant we have $500 each on 4,5,9,10. $600 on the 8 and put the rest on the odds.

Next roll after the point. You guessed it. Another PSO. At this point I am just on mega tilt switch. 6k down. Not sure what to do here I head over to bubble craps.

Eventually we start getting handpays coming in thick and fast and despite what I felt was run good we are still only breaking even for the day!!!!

Part 2 of the day to follow.. sorry I gotta stop as I am legit falling asleep while typing

BTW, Cafe Americano at Paris makes a pretty good breakfast.

Part 2

So yeah normal table craps is killing me at the moment. The rolls are just not there. Either PSO or 2 to 3 rolls. Honestly nothing past 4 rolls and it's hurt the bankroll a heck of alot.

I come back to the room to check on everyone who is still sleeping. However I think it's best to wake them up because we have to get ready for the show at 7pm. I quickly jump in the shower and am ready.

Muckpls messages me saying he is 10 mins from the horseshoe and we agreed to meet up. I left the family to getting ready and headed down. I had agreed to buy some USD off him however I think my bank believes he is some drug lord and asked me to record a video of myself to prove it was me transferring money. The verification was taking forever so we did a little degen on the BC machine.

It was an ok session. We did do a group pull going from $200 each. We span that $400 in $1400 I believe but unfortunately hit the 7 on our big bet. Although still cashed out for $800 so was nice.

I did however hit this handpay to get me a little back

With the bank still not verifying me and my family turning up I had to leave to sort out the $$ tomorrow

We headed to the Bellagio for the kids to see the conservatory. It's a Spring/Easter theme this time round which is pretty cool.

Then a quick dash to the Flamingo to get seated for the show. We had some good seats in the front row and again the staff were honestly amazing. Something about hospitality the Americans just do better than Britain in my eyes.

The show itself was pretty good. Piff has a good stage presence and some of the tricks you are left wondering how the hell did he do that. Which is what you want from a magic show. There's a lot of audience participation and good humour so we were chuckling all the way through. If you haven't seen this show I would highly recommend.

Oh and to top it off the KFC man also works at the Flamingo

After the show Piff and his team all do a meet and greet for everyone free of charge and because we had a wheelchair the staff were very kind and let us skip the line. We were essentially the first ones that show to meet him which was super nice. Got a little chat in and found out the showgirl in the show is originally from our neck of the woods in the UK which was pretty cool.

Starving hungry we pop into Gordon Ramsey burger. In hindsight we should have saved this one for another day. We were all super tired with my one kid nearly falling asleep at the table. We ordered 4 burgers which were ok but we didn't finish any of it as we just wanted to head to bed. Food was a 6/10 at best but I do want to try again another time when I am more awake.

Day 2 of the trip we have the Shark Reef aquarium booked. Should be good

14k is the win??

Nice hit!!

It's stupid o'clock here in Vegas and I just cannot stay asleep. Not even gummies are helping this time so I am just going to admit defeat.

Anyways recap of yesterday's day.

Family were so tired last night they woke up later than expected. Me already being up at 4am decided to go for a walk at 6am as I wanted the outside air. The love the early morning walk with just a few people out, Vegas seems like on a massive reset and I don't know it just feels refreshing.

I grab a few drinks and wait for the wife to message me that she is up so in the process of waiting I pass the time on the BC machines. A little up and down session I don't really remember but hit a good hand pay at one point to leave the session in profit

I get the message to say she is awake so I grab a coffee to take upstairs and say hi. The kids are still asleep at this point and it's just 8:30am. So I decided to message Muckpls to sort out buying those dollars off him. He is already being a degen on roulette at the Bellagio so I go and say hi.

$500 immediately down playing roulette. After donating to the Bellagio we try and sort out this payment and the bank block my account again. Honestly the security checks they performed were crazy. We play a bit of BC while I try and contact the bank to prove it is me and unfortunately see Muckpls getting absolutely slaughtered.

With my bank still getting blocked and my kids being up and wanting to go somewhere I had to say goodbye. Went and got a few pastries to bring up to the room and had breakfast with the family.

I had booked us the Shark Reef aquarium at the Mandalay bay. A quick taxi up there and I will have to say I was impressed by the aquarium. Although it's not the most time consuming activity here for $29 an adult and a little less for kids it's a fun activity that's not going to break the bank.

Next up was a bit of shopping on the way back. We took the tram from Mandalay bay to Excalibur and walked back from there to the Horseshoe stopping off at the M&M store and plenty of others!

A very late lunch at Flavourtown as I still had some food comp to eat up. Being a typical British person I had our staple meal of fish and chips

Nothing to write home about. An ok 6/10 meal but not one I would order again.

Kids wanted to relax up in the room and check out the stuff they bought so the wife took them up while I had another degen session.

This time I was quickly eaten up by the live craps table. $1500 lost in pretty quick fashion. Not bad rolls and not good ones either. Just those 3 or 4 hit sessions where the momentum is not there. I wasn't feeling it at all.

Moved over to BC

Clawed some back with some interest!

Happy with the win I walk over to the craps table and ask the dealer (Mario) has it improved. He said it's gotten better so I buy in for another $1500. Again I lost that too quickly so went and played some more BC. For some reason BC is being super kind to me again.

Taking the profit I head back upstairs only to chat to Mario on the way back and to see everyone with chips! The one shooter was going on as godroll. Apparently around 25 rolls before I got there. Typical!

In the evening the kids really wanted to go to the arcade and honestly so did I. We played a ton of games and the kids won quite a few prizes. Clearly their run good is like mine at the moment. It was honestly great to see them smiling so much and enjoying themselves. They were both so appreciative of this quality time doing fun stuff

After some ice cream they were ready to go upstairs and get some sleep. They both said what a fun day it had been and were ready for what we have planned tomorrow.

The wife said to go and get some gummies to see if it would help me sleep. She can see how much I have been struggling to this trip so I got an Uber to Mint and got something to hopefully help. Little spoiler at the top of the post. It didn't. However saw some furries in the liquor store next door.

I popped one once I was back at the casino. Played some BC while waiting to feel the affects. Now I don't know if it was the gummy or just a dream but I went on what has to be called the most insane heater of a lifetime.

First BC

Then slots are you saw above. I buy in for $3k and do $62 spins at 25c denom. I hit and early hold and spin which didn't pay a great deal. So did the same spins but this time on 50c denom. All this was on General Tsu. On the 50c denom the counter was on 280 so it clearly had reset recently. I am spinning and get 5 balls drop (one with the 25,000 credit ball in). Typical I thought I missed out on that. Then I hear the bell ring. The counter bonus had triggered and that means the hold and spin started with the balls I had on screen!!!!! I had won $12,500 and still had a hold and spin feature.

As you see that bonus paid just over $14,000!!!!!

The hand pay was pretty quick considering the value and I span the rest of the $2k balance I had in the machine down to $1500 and cashed out for $15,500 in total. Up $12,500

I took the $1500 to the other craps table with the ATS bonus on it. We had 2 ok rolls before mine. Again not much to talk about until my roll. I must have been high at this point which stuff the invincible switch on! I was hitting points, rolling well to the point I hit the ATS (although I was not on that, others were) and finished the session piles up!

And that everyone is how Friday finished!
