USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
your entire argument falls apart because youβre mashing together things that have nothing to do with each other just to force a conclusion you already decided oniran saying βweβll end this if there are guaranteesβ is just a normal negotiating position, and you twisting that into βthey donβt want peaceβ is straight confirmation biasand then you try to backfill it with NAFTA, whi
Iran wants peace. They never wanted to be bombed in the first place, derp.
My comment was a criticism of the US having now become untrustworthy on the world stage; it had nothing to do with Iran's disposition.
NAFTA got renegotiated because it was under threat of pulling out of the permanent agreement by your boy Trump, so yes, that's basically the same thing as reneging unless you're ******ed.
But let's stick to the nut and bolts: how many ceasefires have been broken in the Middle East within days or weeks of an agreement?
Do tell... what can the US do that will assure Iran that the US will not decide to attack again after they've been attacked during negotiations multiple times already?
why not? you think iran is just going to get away with screwing over third party's while north and south America have enough domestic oil and ignore it. at worse they will put tariffs or something which will slightly raise global oil prices. if iran is not at war with anyone... and china and india can't get oil. what do you think India and China are going to do? Unlike the us they don't have to play nice to try to win elections because you know communism. The second the us yeets out the not so small Chinese navy is coming. Big L for trump but not for north America. I hope hes not tacoing out tho

long time ago buddy. long time ago. There's no reputation to preserve at this point hopefully you can blame it all on trump and get it back next election.
also rickroll nafta was completely broken what are you talking about. It was scheduled to end in 2020 but trump broke it in 2017 trying to get better terms. By not waiting till 2020 thats called breaking a contract. because the contract didn't end in 2017. he did it this time too with whatever the f its called
It looks like the Iranians have reached out to Trump regarding a cease fire.
Trump has put Europe on notice that they will either sink or swim on this. The US is energy independent.
What will probably happen is Europe will bend the knee to Trump and he will help out. Maybe the US gains business from all of this. The President has positioned himself into a win/win situation. This is why I called it 5d chess.
If anyone were ever playing 5d chess, you would be the last person to recognize it.

Itβs not just a matter of oil exports flowing from Iran to China. If Iran attempts to weaponize its energy supply by refusing shipments to US-aligned countries, the move cuts China both ways. While that oil is vital for fueling Chinaβs industrial base, the Chinese economy remains critically dependent on a 'double-squeeze' of international trade.
China still import hundreds of billions of dollars in sophisticated electronics and semiconductor components from the EU and East Asian allie, technology they cannot yet replicate at home. At the same time China is just as reliant on exporting its finished goods back to those same nations, most notably the US, which is their single largest consumer. Ultimately, Iran can provide China with fuel, but it cannot replace the high-tech supply chains or the massive consumer markets that actually drive the Chinese economy.
China and Pakistan present new Iran deal: Ceasefire for opening Hormuz
China joins Pakistan, which has emerged as an unlikely mediator in the US-Israel war against Iran. Officials in Beijing and Islamabad have presented a five-point plan with the aim of bringing about a ceasefire and re-opening the vital Strait of Hormuz.
The joint statement agreed that dialogue and diplomacy were "the only viable option to resolve conflicts", and it called for waterways, including the blockaded strait, to be protected.
It's not just about oil, although that will be a concern. China, the biggest importer of crude oil in the world, has enough stockpiled to get it through the next few months.
Beijing will likely have decided to play the role of peacemaker because the war in Iran jeopardises something Xi covets: stability. China needs a stable global economy as it is heavily reliant on selling goods around the world as it tries to revive an ailing domestic economy.
"If the rest of the world begins to slow down economically because of an energy shock, that's going to be tough for China's factories and exporters," says Matt Pottinger, Chairman of the Foundation for Defense of Democracy's China Program.

pick a lane
you said βso iran doesnβt want to end the war,β now youβre saying βof course they want peace.β which is it?
and no, NAFTA isnβt βbasically reneging,β thatβs just you not understanding what youβre talking about. renegotiating a 30 year old trade deal is not even remotely comparable to breaking a war agreement, thatβs a reach and you know it
then you jump to βceasefires get brokenβ which has nothing to do with your original claim. youβre just cycling arguments hoping one sticks
and drop the βyour boy trumpβ garbage. show one place iβve praised him. you canβt, so you make it up because youβd rather label than actually defend your point
if you're going to be this insufferably stupid, at least make it for it by being funny or kind
you said “so iran doesn’t want to end the war,” now you’re saying “of course they want peace.” which is it?
he was obv being ironical. cmon man.
So stock market shoots up from 3/30, oil falls from 3/30, dollar ticks down from 3/30. One would assume that there would be something more credible than just Trump's word shifting all of this, especially oil, but we've seen it before.
nope
My point is when the US makes a deal, they have proven they are willing to renege on deals (e.g., JCPOA, Paris Agreement, TPP, NAFTA, USMCA, as well as flagrantly break international laws) so Iran certainly can't believe there is something the US can do (pinky promise?) that will guarantee there will be a lifetime peace deal or even one for the foreseeable future.
It looks like the UAE is about to step up militarily. Gutless Europe is still standing on the sidelines.
Go enlist, chief
European NATO has over 150 minesweepers; the US has 4.
The US military is built to project force and own skies. What's going on in the Strait is exactly what European NATO was built for. The deal was we come to one another's aid.
And this isn't just Trump blabbering. Either Europe gets their heads out of their collective asses or there's a good likelihood the US is out of NATO and that means Ukraine too.
I donβt think this Trump speech is gonna be a warm and fuzzy one. I believe he is going to prepare us for a massive operation. I talked to my friend Shlomo in Israel and he is hearing the same thing over there. I would not doubt if the operation had already begun at the time of the Presidents speech.

Correct. It’s your blabbering as well
NATO wasn’t designed as ‘one nation unilaterally attacks another nation under a moronic pretense, everyone must aid the belligerent.’ It’s ’if one of us are attacked, we all defend that country’
Your simping for blood is quite a wild scene
Also, you do realize Trump can’t withdraw from NATO, right? I’m sure you realize that, you seem like a smart guy with smart thoughts who totally considered every angle before making your thought provoking post
It’s so funny watching the same chuds ramble on about how Europe MUST aid America when let’s say France invaded Hungary tomorrow for no real reason they would all say ‘ya that **** is your problem, America shouldn’t be dragged into that’
There’s more to life than killing and deporting brown people, no matter what Jesse Watters tells you, you worthless lemmings
