Wavelength Team C v Team D

i'm fine with just reversing it since that seems in the spirit of everything and we haven't gained any information from this other than we were on the right side of the scale and were going to miss by a lot but we were never guessing unsuccessful
whatever people think
I think just continue
ok so most successful is 21
so back to what do we think seahawks would have been?
and i think this is in the 15-18 range
Recency Seahawks is obviously higher, but all-time Broncos are better imo.
The argument against higher is where are they on the NFL only scale? Packers, Bears, Patriots, 49ers, Cowboys...all better. Also probably can factor in franchise success in terms of $$$ not just championships. Not sure where Broncos stand in terms of franchise value.
Then put in teams like Yankees, Red Sox, soccer teams, Celtics, Warriors, Bulls, Canadiens, etc. there's lots of more successful franchises. Starting to lean lower, like 14-15.
They are a successful franchise, over 11 for sure, but wouldn't be shocked anywhere in the 12-16 range. 17 seems high now.
12 seems a little low, they have won a couple super bowls after all. 12 I'm thinking is someone like the Denver Nuggets who have won a title recently and make the playoffs regularly but have basically been irrelevant forever.
But yea I could see 13 or 14 too I suppose...maybe that is where we should go, because I do see something like Yankees or Lakers being 21, 19-20 would also be one of these multichampionship teams. NFL maybe it's hard to get above 19, I would probably give that to the Packers, the Patriots have had a lot of success too I suppose.
Given a group of successful franchises - where would we say the Broncos are in that group? I would think they're around average or maybe slightly below if we think of all the championship winners and stuff...so maybe we go down to 14 or 15?
Yea the Knights, maybe the Nuggets is really an 11. Maybe someone like the Knicks since they probably make a lot of money, though they often do suck so idk...kind of a high variance clue
Colts feels like an 11. Average person doesn't know how good they are. They won once? twice? with Peyton. But could be terrible too.
Raptors could be an 11. Several teams coming to mind haha
every time I post I wanna go lower, I'm like on 13-14 now lol
14 doesn't feel too bad, they could have been pretty great this year, and they are often competitive. So I can see 15 too I suppose. They're on the successful side but not crazy successful.
14
Real quick thoughts:
Obviously more successful:
NE
PIT
KC
GB
SF
Obviously less successful:
BUF
NYJ
CIN
CLE
TEN
HOU
JAX
LAC
MIN
DET
NO
CAR
ATL
ARI
Could be argued:
MIA
BAL
IND
LV
NYG
DAL
PHI
WAS
CHI
TB
SEA
LAR
Think I wanna go higher here.
It was 14
Nice job guys, sorry again for the **** up
The only issue I have is suggesting that the Bears are a better franchise than the Broncos.
wooo ship it! great clue!
good chat housenuts!
for clues for that category, is something like NFL: Denver Broncos allowed?
so then the guessers know that they're really only considering where the broncos rank in terms of NFL franchises, and not all sports franchises?
I'd doubt it, that was a big topic in the game last time as part of the "wavelength" was trying to figure out which "wavelength" your teammate was on
like if you had Short - Tall and got clued Allen Iverson, you'd need to figure out if your teammate thinks he's taller than the average person or wants you to think in terms of NBA players and he's on the shorter side there. I think that wouldn't be a great clue, and part of the game is to try to remove the ambiguity and make it clear for the guessers
Yeah, I agree with Ervin on that.
That said, I think it's pretty obvious that you'd only be comparing the Broncos to other NFL teams. The thought of comparing them to the Colorado Avalanche or Atletico Madrid never crossed my mind.
I actually was comparing them to other sports franchises. If I had to pick the most successful NFL franchise(and seems debatable honestly) - I guess I'd say Patriots? Maybe Packers? Cowboys I think are the highest valued sports franchise, but having them as a 21 especially when they've been total ass so many years seems wrong
so to me NFL only peaks at 19 and the broncos clue told us it was somewhere middling even within that
for a pure sports franchise 21 I'd think Lakers/Celtics/Yankees one of these teams that's worth the most in their respective league and has won the most championships

Same. I wouldn't put 21 for any NFL franchise. I would probably say Patriots if had to do nfl 21. Or Seahawks maybe for recency bias.
Probably Yankees
yankees would have been my 21 i think
was considering both florida panthers and seahawks, but didn't want recency bias affecting anything
donk, you're up
Still need 2 players to fill in Just One if anyone fancies it
Do we need a time limit for picking a spectrum???
