Taking the red pill in the philippines
🟥 Project All In: Taking the Red Pill
After some time off from poker — grinding low stakes and running a small PL
Because I will lead this into a vlog/video series and I dont want to give away to much yet😀
But we got a loaner computer from the shop they did indeed fry my mother board in tbe process if fixing the charging port. So that sucks but at least we get to start tomorrow.
The way this program is designed in to be fluid and adapt to each player and if follow it should work perfectly that any one could use it for any format or even to learn poker for the first time.
Its a boot camp style with strict rules and roughly 6 hour days 6 days a week.
The fastest it could be finished in theory would be 8 weeks (almost thr same length ad US Army basic training) but to truly master the game it could take longer it depends on how much work you put into the program.
I think I might start a new blog to outline the use of this system it's honestly genius it self adapts to you as an individual player it utilizes 4 of the top poker course you can buy and if you follow the rules with in it (stop loss, move up limits, move down limits) you should never ever go broke and you ahouod crush your games and move up oretty quickly.
The potential comes from the 4 courses it utilizes but also how it breaks down each days training. But the real strength is the sprints. A standard sprint will always be 2 days but if you crush the concept on day 1 it can be a 1 day sprint if you struggle it could be a 6 day sprint but the sprints are what makes it so adaptive and self teaching.
Can't wait to start tomorrow not only because I want to learn this new format but also because I didn't mean to but I ended up putting a lot of working into building what this program has become. It was just supposed to be a way for me to learn a new format but it ended up becoming an intense bootcamp style training system.
Oh BTW we are going to be playing plo 😀
Do you find yourself frequently creating in-depth plans of what to do in the future, getting all excited about them, and then quickly abandoning them?
I chose plo for a few reasons
1. Nlhe mtts (I lole the freedom poker provides, playing 10 hours of mtts a day isn't freedom, I did this for years was pretty successful at it and made pretty solid money and at this moment mtts are likely the format im best at)
2. NLHE cash (boring small edges leads to a lot of rb pros and tonshow a good win rate a lot of site and table selection. NLHE gets tougher every day except for the occasional giant whales donking off stacks.)
3. NLHE fast fold (This was a front runner and was the one I was stuck between this and plo for a long time, I talked to players in both fields at different stakes from $50 to $200 games and the big difference came down to really the long term expected value in the games. PLO stays soft because there is so much to learn/study. Small mistakes preflop can lead to massive ev loss by the river. In NLHE a lot of our edge comes from disciplined play and letting our opponents make mistakes loke playing to many hands calling 3bets to wide under folding against value and over fold against bluffs, these edges get much smaller in fast fold games because its much easier for fish to play like nits and just fast fold to the next hand. We can exploit them playing to tight preflop but this still leads to a much lower winrate. Also the games get much tougher much faster as you move up stakes in fast fold compared to PLO.)
So between talking with regs who play up to 2k plo heads up and 6 max talking to some fast fold regs and looking at winrates from the highest crushers to the rb pros also looking at the potential for the strength of games 1, 2, 5, or 10 years from now if there is currently a game in online poker to sink a lot of time into its 100% PLO.
Even the regs at games of 500+ are still making mistakes and are beatable with the right amount of work, equities do run closer together but you can gain a massive edge against bad players if you put the work in.
So after 1 or 2 weeks probably if being on the fence about fast fold games or plo, plo just has 10x times the up side fast fold games do. The only thing fast fold games really wins on is volume but besides that PLO really is the best option for online poker at this moment in time. We'll cash wise PLO is there is still a bunch of money to be made in mtts if you want to fo that route but the mtt life style is brutal.
So thats why we chose PLO im excited to deep dive into a new game a new format and really gey a deep technical and theoretical understanding of the game. I'll be using from the ground up, plo mastery, plo mastermind, and this is plo
Definitely the top 4 plo courses on the market right now and every course offers different ways to learn and different approaches which will make us a very well rounded player.
Oh I also looked at 5c and 6c plo I chose against those because even though those games are massively soft and full of fishbright now I fear it will be like short deck and become reg infested with a small player pool in the future. Also 7 card is only available on gg and stars right now as well as pribaye clubs i assume coin will adopt it soon but with my traveling and plans to be back in thr US in the next 2 years or less that would really limit my game selection so 5c and 6c were pulled for those reasons
So with that being said I'll stick to my private discord groups ai was invited into actually from the blog post but like I said the good people the successful people are the silent majority. So they invited me through private dms and I think I'll call this blog a wrap and just stay off of 2p2 to much negativity on here.
Enjoy your dodge neons with your fart pipes!
Makes sense. Do you find that making money/living comfortably/retiring when you want is not motivation enough?
Sadly 2+2 and reddit are taken over by those people. They are useless individuals who have nothing to offer the communities they try to be a part of but in the end they are just noise, nothing more than a giy driving down the street in his neon with a fart pipe on it. They think they are cool and people look at them and that gives them an little hard on but then they get home t
Why aren't these people adapting and jacking off in the car when they get their hard on? Are they stupid?
Makes sense. Do you find that making money/living comfortably/retiring when you want is not motivation enough? That is but the biggest mental hurdle i am currently facing in being in the Phillipines my VA paycheck puts me in a pretty high income bracket and I could just stay here and my son would have all the cool clothes my wife would never have to work and we live really well
They arent very smart
Damn dude. Homey just quit 2p2
Hi! Unfortunately, I came across your blog too late.
I'm going to the Philippines for the first time in July. My gf is a Filippina (but she's from Cebu and hates Manila but we're still going there haha)
Can I hit you up on DMs or discord or something to ask a couple questions?
I created a topic about playing cash in the Philippines. Got some nice advice from people about cash, but not much advice about specifically PH.
