in 2016 POS musk said we'd send people to Mars in 2022... now he's saying 2028 🙄

moon is 250k miles away

Mars is 35 million at it's closest

Lamb/ Lambo is my German Shepherd, I may not have used her full name here before.

7 months trip to Mars.

Then you're stuck there minimum 2 years waiting for the next planetary alignment like some lovestruck highschooler.

Then 7 months back.

No one is going to Mars.

I call my Toyota Prius "the lambo". also named her Femke bol, the amazing dutch runner who came from behind in the Olympics in the rain to beat that bastard Americans.... nbc propaganda won't let me link the video here

Incredible, I never saw that before.

gives me chills everytime I watch it

Reminds me of Daphne, Huntress of Men

How my mind works: I remembered the phrase "Daphne is a problem" to find this gif.

damn Daphne is cruising!

I used to be a great sprinter. now my top speed isn't much faster than a walk :(

an avg 60 year old would probably beat me. I turn 55 in a few weeks

I just saw that NASA is aiming for 2028 moon landing with the Artemis program.

You realize it's Elon's Mars ship that will be landing on the moon for NASA.

will it be landing on Mars, like he said it would?

Sure. The Moon is practice.

sorry i've talked about this tv show before, but the detectorists is my favorite show of all time.

it's maybe 10 years old now? idk... but there is no other show like it. it's definitely not for everyone. you have to have a soul to like it. and idk... it's hard to describe. it's relaxing, touching, funny, charming.

kokiri recommended it to me.

but if you watch the first 10 minutes you'll totally know what the show is like. if you don't love it by then, it's just not for you.

Weed wacking is such a satisfying activity. Clears the mind, gives a little cardio, cranks the accomplishment meter.

I can stare at the results for 5 minutes. Grinning the whole time.

Highly recommended.

In a weird way it's like real life Minecraft. And you get to touch grass! (and also get grass pelted across your legs, in your mouth, stuck in hair, permanently stained shoes)

Something just occurred to me. After years and years and years...

Pogger marknfw - Is it "Mark North Fort Worth" or duh today it came to me "Mark No F***ing Way"?

It was meant to be mark n (in) fort worth, lol

Oh. I see.

So we'll just keep that between you and me.

i just realized fort worth is probably named after some genocidal maniac named "worth"

I had a lawyer lady client in Thousand Oaks who had NFW in all her passwords and she said it stood for No ****ing Way.

I looked up Worth and he killed so many Indians they named like fifteen cities and three counties after him across ten states.

Texas was a hotspot for genocide

also the weed is kicking in woo hoo

happy easter but remember Christianity is a religion of genocide

and I have to type everything one handed cuz my dog is on top of me and has my left hand

I always got my car serviced in thousand oaks, and to kill time I'd walk these genocide gardens by the dealership. they were beautiful but had a ****ingn statue of juniperro serra, master genocider, and replica of an old missionary building, genocide center. it's insane

Lakota leader Spotted Tail being asked if he knew about Jesus—“I’ve heard all about him, how good he was, the great things he did. I also heard how the White man killed him. We never would’ve done that—we never would have murdered the Son of the Great Spirit”

Sounds anti semitic!

Happy Easter!

I used to feel that way about mowing the lawn. The achievement was so VISIBLE. But these days, I tend to prefer the weeds, at least if they come in the form of wildflowers and dandelions, which is how they generally manifest in my current front yard.

I like the wildness over the well manicured suburban lawns I grew up with.
