Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards

Spoke to wife about this. What MGM does is more like the CET 5000 bonus where you earn 5000 TC and get a 10,000 bonus amount added.

But MGM only has these bonuses in Las Vegas.

Question about CET table game "free play" (i.e. Promo Chips). How do CET props handle these, in particular how would they pay in this scenario...

You place $50 on a simple even money type bet. Let's say BJ. You don't double down. You don't make BJ. You don't split. You don't surrender. You simply make 19 and the dealer makes 18. You win even money.

Now do they
1. Take the $50 promo chips and pay you $100 in "real" chips?
2. Take the $50 promo chips and pay you $50 in real chips?
3. Leave the $50 promo chips and pay you $50 in real chips?
4. Something else?

3 is how they do it with the promo chips I've gotten

Same...whenever I've gotten promo trips at a Caesar's property, they have been "play until you lose them", so they pay you in "real" chips and leave the promos in the circle

Received the following email from Venetian Rewards rep today after inquiring about tier matches.

I knew MGM's match was temporary when I got it. Actually I didn't get the match, I did the credit card because I only wanted to be able to park at Aria during the WSOP. Turns out I never went there.

Also, no mention of temporary match for the Venetian above.

This doesn't mention anything about the dining credit that pig4bill mentioned. Was he making things up?

I didn't get this version of the benefits pamphlet. I got the regular pamphlet, and she never mentioned that I would not receive all the benefits.

You need to ask the desk if you can receive dining and airfare.

This is a decent upgrade benefits from Sapphire to RUBY definitely similar to Caesars going from Platinum to Diamond.

Not sure how they can NOT give you at least the $100 meal comp or it could be crossed off for your particular Ruby Card.

Really excellent information - I always play at least 1 or 2 events there during the WSOP so I will certainly be taking advantage of the upgrade if it is still available Mid June.

You mean suite upgrade? I never considered that since their ordinary rooms are so big. I haven't stayed there in 20 years. Do you know what the Entourage suite is? I keep thinking about the tv show.

I’ve come across information about this before and am just curious if it’s still feasible today.

It's actually easier than ever, because of the wealth of machines you can play multiple hands on. Assuming your wallet is deep enough. My first time doing DiD I played one hand at a time. I can't remember how long it took, and too lazy to search this thread, but I think it took over 12 hours of play. If you're crazy enough to do 100 hands at a time it would likely take you less than an hour. Even if you play only 5 hands at a time, 2 or 3 hours should do the trick. Much less on a multiplier day.

I've basicall stayed wherever they hold the WSOP for years now. The convenience is paramount to me and a lot cheaper.

If they are still doing the promo where you get 1,500 TC in a day and auto upgrade you then it's pretty easy. Last summer, I sat down at a video poker machine in the high limit room at Horseshoe and grinded $25 a hand for about 3-4 hours to get it. I believe I lost around $1,200. But I got my four nights at Paris last summer free, a free night in Tunica in January, and eight nights in Vegas this summer at Horseshoe free. That's in addition to two $100 dining credits for Diamond and two free Seinfeld tickets at Caesars this summer.

One key is to keep your average daily theoretical loss high until you're planning on playing a lot of poker over multiple days. I just gambled a decent amount over two days (that day in Vegas, and the day in Tunica) and have played poker over five total days. I imagine if you're just grinding poker for awhile the benefits start to disappear.

I really feel like there is not enough consistency in how Caesars own policies are distributed or applied. For example, I have never gotten "promo chips" with "free play" awards... only vouchers. And with vouchers, you have to look at the fine print. Historically, the voucher would work like promo chips in that you place your bet, and so long as you win, you keep the voucher and get paid real chips on the win (#3). However, the last time I got a "free play" voucher, the dealer, and confirmed by the floor when I asked, took the voucher after I won the hand, making the "free play" significantly less valuable (#2). I'm not sure if this was just an example of a clueless floor person, or Caesars getting even more stingy with their perks. At this point I'd say it's 50/50 either way.

A while back I was at Ceasars Vegas, and I was accustomed to getting my free play in chips, but this time when I went to the kiosk, it printed out a slip for $500 dollars. I was surprised and a bit annoyed because I was supposed to get $2500 in free play. I marched over to the rewards center and they didn't have much of an answer for me, and by dumb luck I saw the kiosk I got the $500 out of and there was another slip of paper just hanging there so I pulled it out and it was another $500 in my name, then as I recall another came out and another and another. So, I got my $2500, but the problem was they were 'play once vouchers'... I would have selected free slot play had I known I was going to get those vouchers instead of the 'play until you lose chips' I usually got.

So the bottom line for me was to be a little more careful at the Kiosk with both the selection and just running off.

My online account says I have an offer with $15 free play and $15 food credit. It says swipe in at the kiosk, but the offers are not showing on the kiosk. This is another area where CET is inconsistent.

Could be the typical poor quality of Caesars computer systems. Or could be you need a reservation attached to the offer in order for it to be activated.

Attached reservation is very common at least with CET in LV. But I have not seen this for a $15/$15 offer.

For my local CET offers (not LV) of order of magnitude same size, they together. The food credit just shows up on the card. The free play, at least at one very local property, you must activate at kiosk which puts it on the card. Then you go into "My Bank" at the machine and select how much to put on the machine to play "now".

But these offers do not require a reservation since they are "local" properties. But you do have to 'activate" them at the kiosk first.

One thing to check out is make sure you are looking at the right dates and property. You can filter this in the app but CET app is clunky (at best). You can have FP at property A but not at nearby property B. I see this with small intro amounts (as mentioned) at properties I have not ever been too (or at least not for a LONG time).

So check the filter or offer details closely. You might have the offer, just not the property you thought it was at.
