VR, after our winter rains, you could get lost in my backyard weeds. But no more!

Tons of birds now are sitting in the new wacked areas. They seem super happy eating whatever is now accessible. I assume bugs?

Oh, Happy Easter pog!!!

Sounds like Filthy needs some jelly beans.

**** I got the munchies! mark triggered me!

Birds eating bugs will do it every time. 😀

I had colored hard-boiled eggs for breakfast.

MMM, yummy bugs! Bird heaven. I put out birdseed this year and got beautiful cardinals and lots of opportunistic squirrels too. Which I didn't mind, I love squirrels.

I had all these plans for today and ended up doing none of them because I still have a bad cold. So I watched some of the temple service online from the comfort of my kitchen while drinking a smoothie, then made a vegan take on egg salad to stay thematic with the day for lunch.

Of course, that means I still have ingredients to use up, so if I feel better tomorrow, I'll be dining like a queen!

I like squirrels but they will eat all the birdseed before the birds get any so I mainly put out hot pepper seed and safflower. If I see any skinny squirrels I'll put something out for them.

The first time I swapped out hot pepper seed for regular I watched a squirrel eat a piece then go flying. I could probably put regular out again, they are well trained at this point.

I am out of weed because they changed the laws again and I haven't been to the dispensary. Good to take a break anyway.

But I just found a full vape on a bookshelf holla!

Vaping really got out of control quickly

Texas was a hotspot for genocide

also the weed is kicking in woo hoo

happy easter but remember Christianity is a religion of genocide

and I have to type everything one handed cuz my dog is on top of me and has my left hand

To be fair, most religions have been abused to justify genocide at some point.

but none of genocided multiple continents, and are also the current official religion of my home

"one nation under god" "in god we trust"

filthy - even buddhists have committed genocide across multiple continents

are you guys seriously arguing that other religions compare to christianity when it comes to genocide?

either I'm completely ignorant/delusional, or you are

I ain't arguing nothing but I usually think of it in terms of the Abrahamic religions overall having a particularly bloodthirsty history the past two thousand years.

why not both?

south america
north america
australia
multiple crusades in the middle east
somewhat in africa
somewhat in asia
they'd genocide themselves in Europe if they could.
the left antarctica alone

For any Aldi fans, their Specially Selected double chocolate brownie mix is on sale this week, and makes a better brownie than any scratch recipe that I have ever found--and is vegan if you prepare it without the eggs.

They also had dried cherries in stock at my location, which is my favorite add in. For non parents of young kids, I suggest rehydrating 1/3 a cup of them in a bold fruity red wine like a shiraz or zinfandel, and then stirring them into the mix, along with 1/2 cup of pecans if you are a "nuts in brownies" person, which I am, and a tiny pinch of cayenne pepper for warmth.

Cinnamon is always my secret add in to brownies.

Sounds delicious. I might try that instead of the cayenne pepper this time. I'm thinking cinnamon, coffee instead of water, and cherries, no wine because neighbors have kids.

Ooh, coffee instead of water. That sounds really interesting.

I add cinnamon allspice and ginger to my pancakes which is apparently gingerbread adjacent though I'm not a big ginger bread fan. I make pancakes at night for a snack reasonably often and eat the leftovers for breakfast.

Only brownie in my brownie

If I want a cherry I will eat a cherry. If I want a nut I can eat a nut.

Alcohol is haram.

I can't take the credit for that idea. I swiped it from a gargantuan reddit thread this week, but I'm sure it will amp up the chocolate flavor, because I have a cake recipe that calls for a similar hack.

I wasn't aware you were Muslim, amp.

Sounds great. Maybe top it with sauteed apples?
