GOAT NBA Discussion: Biggest fraud poster: fallguy. Super AIDS Containment thread
Remember when Jordan had a chance to force a Game 7 against the Magic when his team was up 12 with a few minutes left in the game and then choked like no one before him. Some of the most embarrassing misses of all time in this mix below.
JORDAN AND LEBRON'S WORST SERIES:
95' Jordan ECSF......... 30 on 48%
96' Jordan Finals....... 27 on 42%
07' Lebron Finals...... 22 on 35% (6 TO)
08' Lebron ECSF........ 26 on 35% (5 TO)
11' Lebron Finals...... 18 on 48%
14' Lebron ECF.......... 23 on 56%
16' Lebron 1st Rd..... 23 on 56%
21' Lebron 1st Rd..... 23 on 47%
23' Lebron 1st Rd..... 22 on 49%
Lebron's clutch stats are also horrific compared to Kobe, Curry and of course MJ (see numbers in previous post).
fallguy,
I have seen the light. JORDAN IS THE GOAT. how does it feel to have converted the MODERATOR of SE!? to the Jordan Religion
It's quite an accomplishment.. Fraud is a hard thing to undo.
I'm guessing that you were sold once you saw how Jordan's clutch stats were SO MUCH BETTER than Kobe or Lebron while facing a lot of the same comp - it's solid evidence, coupled with everything else
It is pretty funny though that you can't admit Rodman was amazing in that series vs the Sonics.
And Jordan wasn't that good (compared to his other Finals).
It's like he can't say that as it will break his AI program.
So Rodman won the series, not Jordan? I really enjoyed Rodman as he was a funny guy, and great rebounder and defenseman. Played his butt off. But the dude had zero offense. He might be the worst offensive player in league history. He only scored by getting a rebound and putting it back up. He had some epic airballs. Again, i'm a Rodman fan, but you don't win a championship on the back of the worst offensive player in league history. He helped, but Jordan as alawys, was the reason they won.
Draymond's career is basically following the Rodman blueprint. Play great defense, rebound, work your butt off, and you'll be a hall of famer. Even though you really have no offensive game. Though Draymond looks like Jordan compared to Rodman when it comes to offense.
Rodman, Draymond, and Metta World Peace. 3 guys who had great careers soley based on effort/heart. Metta was Kobe's Rodman. Jordan and Kobe recognized that they wanted dude's like that on their team.
John Starks. One of the best defenders of the 90s was. Checks notes. 6 foot 3. 180 pounds.

So, wrong again.
John Starks. One of the best defenders of the 90s was. Checks notes. 6 foot 3. 180 pounds.
John Starks one of the best defenders of the 90's? Really? He had a really good overall defensive team. But saying one of the best defenders of the 90's seems like way over the top. If you were saying that about the glove Gary Payton ok. I don't remember people thinking of Starks like that. He had a decent career, played hard, a good defender. maybe very good defender. But i don't remember anyone saying he was best at anything. He wa a good overall player. Was he even making all star teams? He mighta made the all star team at some point, but he wasn't considered an elite player. Just a tough competitor who played his butt off.
Like all the Knicks, besides Ewing, you had alot of guys who played hard but were not elite talents. They took the bulls to the brink many times on pure heart like Starks. Oakley and Mason the strong men on that defense.

Remember the bit when I told you they lied about their height in the 90s and you had no come back because there's literal proof of it...

Well I mean he made an all defensive team so he was pretty good. Considering one spot went to MJ and one to the Glove each year, it was hard to get a gig.
John Starks has a lot of ego incentive to make Jordan the GOAT. And he was probably 6'1" barefoot.

Yeah. Everyone lied about their height back then. Announcers would joke about it sometimes listing the height then saying on a very good day or something. 6'3 more accurate for Starks.

While i get your point. Becasue i think he was primarly assigned to guard Jordan. But his reasoning for why Jordan had the edge on Lebron had nothing to do with Jordan's skill over Lebron according to that interview. Why i don't know, as jordan was clearly more skilled than Lebron. His reasoning was what we all saw that ddin't have to guard MJ. That Jordan stuck with his team and made his teammates bettor, and worked with them to develope their games. While Lebron high-tailed it outta town to join his super friend buddies when he couldn't get it done in Cleveland.
He shoulda said well i played Jordan, and i was a very good defender, and i couldn't stop him. I never got to play with Lebron, but i bet it i coulda stopped him at least somewhat, considering Lebron doesn't have an all around game close to Jordan's. I'd just let him shoot on the outside, as Lebron isn't anywhere near as good as Jordan when it comes to the mid-range game. Jordan was deadly. Where Lebron's hit or miss, nothing specal when it comes to shooting.

It's really weird being in a thread where someone is arguing for MJ and not being completely brainwashed.
.
.
No one in the top 30 has this kind of beginner footwork, and you never saw Kobe or MJ look like a beginner or airball FT's lol Lebron - this is HORRIBLE skill
Just look at when Lebron catches it at the elbow and then BACKS UP - again, MJ would've scored within 2 seconds of catching the ball at the elbow - backing up in this particular spot is beginner stuff.
It's really weird being in a thread where someone is arguing for MJ and not being completely brainwashed.
It's already been shown itt that today's players are shorter than ever at 4 of 5 positions, so Starks would fit right in.
In today's game, MJ would face SG's that are 6'3" to 6'5" exclusively, since there are almost no 6'6" starting SG's and virtually no 6'7" SG's (a common height for starting SG's in the 90's)..
Again, there were 7 to 12 starting SG's that were 6'7" each year in the 90's, and the rest were mostly 6'6".. Starks was certainly undersized like today's SG's.
fallguy you should transition to a new name
You have an unfortunate undertitle now.
Unlike mine.
Delivered from Supreme scumbag tuq.
Another person I'd take a dump on.

Just trying to be honest/keeping it real as they say. If you, or others make a good point i would acknowledge it. I don't believe Lebron is better than Michael Jordan. Nor do anyone who played with Jordan, and most that watched them both play. You guys are in the minority, prolly because he was your guy growing up. But facts say Jordan was near the perfect player, while Lebron, while a talented player, was nowhere near the goat Michael, Lebron has flaws in his game, especially if beig judged as the goat. Nobody has the resumee of Jordan, until Jokic came around. That being said, Jordan prolly still holds the crown unless Jokic starts winning more titles. As jokic may be a more efficient all around offensive player(meaning assists/outlet passes off rebounds, not just scoring) but titles mean something. Being a perreniel champion means something. Jordan played defense too, where Jokic gets criticized for not playing defense.
Anytime someone took Jordan on in the finals and playoffs he let them know who the goat was!
Nuggets got a shot this year. But i guess they always do as long Jokic aorund.

Michael Jordan is the reason I follow basketball. If he doesn't exist, I wouldn't be a basketball fan. I had posters of him on my wall. I've watched come fly with me at least 100 times.
When LeBron entered the league I used to actively supported him losing. Even wanted Anthony to win Rookie of the Year. Everyone was talking about how good this guy was and that he would be as good as Jordan, so I wanted him to lose and be terrible.
I was wrong.
I think I can be as level headed as anyone about this discussion.

You were proven wrong about the height thing already. Only position that got smaller was center. Which is off-set by the point guard being taller.
Wings are the same height.

Single-handedly LOL? Kyrie gets no love? Was Love on that team? no love for love? Jr Smith in that game? You say you hate Lebron but how you defend him and say he single-handedly does anytihng shows you have love for Lebron. No disrespet, but cmon bro. Lebron has never had to do anything single-handedly since he took his talents to Miami and his super friends team.
Btw, i've always been a Jordan fan because he was awesome and he made me love the nba more. I watched before him, but when he came into the league i was all in. It was electric every game he was in. He was an icon beyond basketball even. Lebron has never been an icon outside of basketball. Reason? Because Jordan was a super human alien, greatest of all time, that changed the game. And he was cool. Lebron always wanted to be Jordan, who wouldn't? but there's only one Jordan and just because you call yourself the king doesn't mean you are. No disrespect to Lebron. great career, but don't disrespect the real king by calling yourself the king.

Even Lebron would admit Jordan is better if he was being honest. Lebron's idol was Jordan. That's why he wore his number right? Why? Because 23 is the goat! Not trying to disrespect Lebron, but to just say Jordan is the man!!!!!!!!
