The whole narrative of "taking" or "destroying" Kharg is really bizarre.Kharg is an artificial island where 90% of Iranian oil for export is processed and sent out from. It is fed by one pipe system from Iran. Literally one well placed missile on the outlet on the Iranian side could stop oil from going to Kharg, and you dont need to destroy anything else. And it is something
theres probably some side deal with china/india not to do that. they kind of need that
I didn't claim you were pro-war. You probably wish the war wasn't happening in much the same way that you might wish a restaurant hadn't screwed up your order or you might wish you weren't sitting next to an annoying yambag on a train.
And your point is? I honestly don't know. Are you saying that civilizations are societal structures, and therefore they inevitably will be destroyed or replaced or rebuilt, and therefore who cares?
No. I'm saying destroying the societal structure - in this case the regime - doesn't entail killing all the Iranian people.
well it certainly involves killing some of them. im exite hopefully no human shields. Im a big believer of the taco but this seems like too big of a taco even for trump .something does feel different

I actually didn't mind you before. Although we may not have agreed in some spots, your posts were thoughtful. This type of thinking is quite a downgrade. Weird cult like thoughts by you guys this morning.
--My timeline right now is a lot of doxxing of Iranians in the US with links to the regime. If someone engages in anti-American activism and/or engages in supporting the regime then I think it is fine to deport them. But if there is none of this and someone is just quietly living their life I would say leave them alone.
That being said, The Regime is pretty ruthless in sending agents to attack anti-Regime activism in the West (a lot of these Regime agents are actually fake University students/professors, whose Universities, including Ivy's, have been bought and sold by The Regime); so I can certainly understand why many Iranian Americans have so much animosity towards these people. Whether the subject of this tweet is involved in this I really dont know.

No one claimed that Trump was threatening to kill every Iranian person.
Saying that civilizations are societal structures, and then claiming that the societal structure in this case is the regime and therefore Trump's comment should be interpreted as a limited threat to destroy the theocracy, is the worst form of sophistry.

Yeah. I understand why we wouldn't be turning off Kharg. But what is the point of all the rhetoric about bombing or invading it?
Also, one wonders if at some point China will realize they are playing a bad hand and fold. If they stopped supplying the regime with economic and military assistance it would probably lose capabilities to keep disrupting energy, which China needs as much as anyone. I understand the logic of assisting the IRGC if energy disruption is at an acceptable level; but at some point the pros of continuing to support The Regime have to far outweigh the cons; and it seems we are reaching this point.
In possibly related news, Ukraine has pretty much shut down NW Russia oil processing, which isn't nothing. And much of this oil was going to China and India too, so crunch coming from both ends. Possibly Ukraine ramping up attacks on Russian energy was coordinated so China couldn't lean on Russia to mitigate loss of Gulf oil.
Nothings gonna happen. There is probably already a deal on the table.
In reality nukes needs to be used to properly end this thing. We know how the world would react so itβs not gonna happen.
Genocide doesn't mean killing every single person.
How many people would have lost their minds if Obama or Biden ended a post with "Praise be to Allah" like DT did?

I don't care whether you minded me before or now.
For the record, I don't think you affirmatively want bad things to happen. Based on your previous statements, I just think you are mostly unconcerned with bad things happening unless they affect your daily life or your livelihood. When normal people are in charge, people with your mindset aren't really a problem. In the U.S., we don't have a normal person in charge at the moment.
Iran has to know we've got tools in our toolkit that we so far haven't decided to use. Trump can decide to use them, and he will if the Iranians don't change course.
