USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
He's the most banal poster on this forum
2. I don't agree that Sandy Hook was a false-flag, but not sure why it shouldn't be discussed in an appropriate thread.
If this is really what you believe, then I think your position should be it is appropriate to promote almost any view in an appropriate thread.
It is rare for someone to promote a view that is simultaneously less supported by the facts and more offensive to the people who were actually affected than the view that Sandy Hook was a false flag.

It's strange how the people with the strongest opinions about Sandy Hook know basically nothing about it.
I wonder if there is anything else where complete ignorance generates such strong opinions.
US seems to be playing some sort of insane game of chicken by trying to put boats in the straight. Iran has said they'll be blown up if they don't turn around. And I don't understand what the US gains from sending them in there? If the talks fail and war resumes they're going to be blown up and it seems like a completely unnecessary prevocation.
Hi Luckbox. I disagree.
Not taking sides on the war, but I think the move is good for the US given the situation.
Iran's position is they want to control the strait, they want to police the strait, and they want to toll the strait.
The US tactic of having 2 destroyers going through the strait sends a message (from a military perspective) that you are not going to do any of those things. You don't have the naval and supporting forces to do it, but the US does.

They don't need naval or supporting forces.
They don't actually need anything. They don't even need to mine the straight. All Iran has to do is say "straight is closed" and then no shipping company is going to risk it.

I am not talking about whether tankers will or will not transit the strait soon, I am addressing your comment about Iran blowing up US ships in the strait.
How does Iran attacking US naval ships in the strait end well for Iran. It doesn't, not under any circumstances.
It's Omani and Iranian territorial waters (note that Oman never acts fascist by trying to close it), but because of its importance to world trade it is considered subject to the law of freedom of navigation. After all, Britain or France could close the Dover Strait, or demand extortionate tolls, which would cause a lot of trouble, but as civilised nations they never do, and it
Oh okay. My bad. At any rate this might be a non-issue:
Iran has been unable to open the Strait of Hormuz to more shipping traffic because it cannot locate all of the mines it laid in the waterway and lacks the capability to remove them, according to U.S. officials.
The development is one reason Iran has not been able to quickly comply with the Trump administrationβs admonitions to let more traffic pass through the strait.
That kind of fits in with what Trump was saying earlier about clearing the Strait. I'm thinking each side dangled big enough carrots for the other to want to work things out at least re the Strait and ending the bombing.

It is ‘deeply unsurprising’ a ****ing idiot like you and ****ing idiots like you conflate opposition to initiating an illegal and truly pointless war without congressional approval at the behest of Netanyahu unilaterally and pointlessly with approval for the Iranian regime
at the behest of Netanyahu

The overly emotional folks with anger management issues seem to like him. His wanna be gang banger tough guy shtick is not funny like he thinks it is.
Itβs obvious he has real issues outside these forums and people like you enable him. The fact that he periodically has to put people on ignore shows that he canβt handle his emotions. I personally go easy on him because I know heβs hurting inside. I actually hope to create an alliance with him someday.
I suppose the best thing to do is to allow him to have his temper tantrums. Let him get it out so he doesnβt God forbid harm somebody in real life. If he canβt handle his emotions talking with anonymous people on the internet he is probably a ticking time bomb.

fwiw Iran denies any US naval ships passed through. and an anonymous "regional" (whatever that means) source told Bloomberg the same. so who knows what actually did or didnt happen.
Iran is stomping all over Israel and the US. If Hormuz reopens, which it probably will because it’s in everyone’s interests not least chinas, it won’t be anything like as open as it was before the hapless fools known as America decided to attack it.
Here's the thing - across 2p2 people mostly enjoy SRM's posting. Nobody, absolutely nobody, enjoys your posting.
I think people mostly just tolerate his posts. Most people in here are passive and simply donβt want to confront him and his disturbing posting style. I think 99% of people would love him to go away because he derails otherwise good threads. He adds nothing to the conversation.
Self confessed rapist calls out a poster for his disturbing posting style.

SRM goes off on wild insult rants too much for my taste, but he hasn't said anything as "disturbing" as your cheerleading for Trump to drop a nuclear weapon.
