The "LOLCANADA" thread...again
So what's new?
I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet
If only you displayed this wisdom from time to time.
I'd respond to the rest but I think we've discussed Trudeau and his economic failings before and as per usual, it goes nowhere.
Uke is like an extreme MAGA supporter that their leader can do no wrong . He would b e the guy believing that Trump posted a pic of him as a doctor 😀

I would LOVE to know which incremental change in an economic metric you think merits “treasonous”.
For instance, Trudeau let income taxes identical but for a small drop in second tax bracket. Carney dropped the first tax bracket a bit. Poilievre wanted a slightly larger drop. This is a story of incrementalism, not treason.
One of the challenges of debating you, much like on immigration, is you begin with insane hyperboles, but it’s pulling teeth to actually get you to actually say specific details. As here. You can blame that on me, but it’s becoming increasingly clear it is a you problem.
Objectively lolAccumulation of more debt than all the PMs before3 ethics violations one so severe he could have been charged Destroyed relations with China and IndiaDestroyed Canada's reputation around the world Alienated our biggest trading partner insulting their president Chased away foreign investment $$$Invoked the emergency act which the Supreme Court said was not needed
As I’m excited for you that you got your chance to give your list of why you hate Trudeau yet again, none of these things is remotely close to “treason”. And many on the list are just you being stupid.
Like India likely murdered people on Canadian soil. You want to blame Trudeau as treasonous for that?
Or like Trump ****ing attacked us. You’re mad that Trudeau insulted him? That’s treasonous to you?

It's a product of your bad faith debate style. As was exposed during our immigration spat.
Your consistent pattern of refusing to give any actual tangible details to support your absurd hyperbolic assertions is because……checks notes…..I am in bad faith?
Lol.
I wonder if you are able to provide even a single detail to support your claims of treason. I doubt it.

Treason can have many definitions as it one is betraying your country and that can be argued what Trudeau did . Of course its never going to happen he will just go down as the worst PM in history that personally destroyed the country economically
Let it go professor. You are a bad faith debater, as has been exposed more than once. Trudeau's track-record speaks for itself and I certainly believe the damage he has done to Canada constitutes treason.

zero details, zero evidence, just pure hyperbolic nonsense about treason.
Utterly pathetic.

lmao at this weak sauce “treason has many definitions”.
No, the economy is not destroyed economically. Lmao you guys are so bad at this.
By what economic metric is the economy "destroyed"? Not vibes. Not hyperbole. Not treason accusations. Actual facts.
Can you give one metric?
Just saw a replay of Justin's speech about choosing not to vacation in the USA and choose Canada what a hypocrite
woah I just learned Canada had second highest real gdp growth among g7 nations in 2025 and projected again to in 2026. But hold on I thought Trudeau destroyed our economy which was now run into the ground with his treason???
But no ya'll are really just obsessed about him going to coachella with katy perry. LMAO.
hahaha the STEM professor trying to pull a fast one.

On my way to a rink last night, had to stop and wait because the line up to the food bank was all the way through the parking lot and out onto the road.
Ah great, that was going to be my next factoid! Did you know Canada has the highest size-adjusted foreign direct investment among all g7 countries? We're literally number 1!
Thanks for pointing out that our companies also do a great job going out in the world and investing and building global businesses. Like you realize that if a Canadian company builds a mine in Peru or whatever, that is capital outflow....right? But it is a good thing for the Canadian economy....right?
Also lol your twitter guy's unlinked image is rather deceptive. Here is the ACTUAL first bulletpoint from the actual growth project:
Canada is back on the radar of global investors. Last year, foreign direct investment in Canada reached nearly $100 billion, the highest level since 2015.
Of course, my argument here isn't that Canada's economy is completely hunky dory. It has problems. Some exogenous, some endogenous. The point is that the "destroyed our economy" and "run into the ground" and "traitor" crowd is being obviously ridiculously stupidly hyperbolic. There absolutely is room for nuanced debate about the relative for of foreign investment inflows and outflows - but not a single one of you ITT have shown your are yet capable of entering that discussion.

Woah I just heard that Canada has record oil production. So strange, I thought the economy was destroyed and run into the ground due to a traitor.
That's like saying the Leafs are the 5 th best team if you count from last up .
Imagine what it would be with a energy east and another pipeline to the coast . Tankers would be lined up with the straight closed
Today is the one year anniversary were Justin's climate activist Katie Perry went into space and burned as much carbon as a country uses
There. Fixed the post for you.
2.2 million food bank visits per MONTH. 1 in 4 Canadians experience food insecurity, more kids than ever go to school without a lunch, 1 in 3 kids go to school hungry. Job market cooked, 0 productivity, Canadian dollar has been steadily losing purchasing power, mortgage defaults rising.
Excellent. I mean lol at calling me quoting standard macroeconomic indicators "gaslighting" LMAO but at least we get some details. Ok so I've shown some indicators showing strength in the economy, you've shown some indicators showing weakness (some are highly dubious - "1 in 3 kids go to school hungry" is a huge misread). So who wins?
Me.
Because your claim was ridiculous that the economy was destroyed and run into the ground by a traitor. The opposite of that isn't that it is perfect, because it isn't. It IS mixed. Strengths AND weaknesses. I have a balanced claim and putting my facts and your bad attempt at facts together gets you to....my claim. Not yours.
Several of your list of things deserve pushback and demonstrate weak economic understanding, but until we can deal with the overarching bad framing it isn't worth pointing out things like that "mortgage defaults" while slightly rising (as expected with interest rates) remain very low and actually below historical norms or that "losing purchasing power" every country experienced high inflation but Canada did decently on inflation compared to g7 peer countries, etc etc. Like all those important details about what your macroeconomic indicators actually are and how impactful they should be considered are irrelevant if your are stuck in your "traitor" framing.
This is weird. If not the g7, who else do you want to compare us to? Canada is, globally speaking, a strong advanced economy. Not everything is perfect, but we're doing ok economically. I want to see productivity up and inequality down etc, but it isn't "destroyed" as you indicated.

Man your obsession with Justin Trudeau (seemingly rubbing off on Katy Perry???) is so ****ing weird. Give it up man!
Standard of living continues to decline for Canadians as cost of living keeps going up. But perhaps you can stand outside those foodbanks and tell the people visiting that while they can't send their kids to school with a full belly or lunch, that the economy is ''ok''.
I sure am glad you think you have ''won''. You surprise me every time professor, not in a good way.
"Cost of living keeps going up" is NOT the same as "economy destroyed and driven into the ground by a traitor".
Like do you really not see how hilariously ineptly your evidence does not support your claim? Like yes I am fully aware that - globally - food price inflation has been particularly steep and that while Canadian inflation has been middle of the pack among the g7 that is absolutely a macroeconomic indicator I'm concerned about. But it isn't "economy destroyed". Not close.
Here's the real rub: Carney (or Poilievre or insert your pick) isn't going to be able to magically fix all this for the same reason it wasn't caused by a "Traitor". There are a lot of macroeconomic and global forces at work intersecting. Cost of living is a problem across the g7 right now. Domestic policies are but one factor - and even there hard to untangle. I happen to be on the side thinking the government should do more to support low income people and have supported quite a number of policies in the past on this vein. But we can't get there if you are convinced the problem was a traitor destroyed everything and that this is the problem.

You realize Uke is probably like the new NDP leader teaches a class or two and makes $200,000 a year.
Another stat this week most young folks buying a home either need cash from their parents or a co signer on the mortgage
