USA Goes to War Against Iran
Time for a dedicated thread to the war.
How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
Iran has opened the straight for the remainder of the truce. It sure sounds like a deal is getting close.
Also, this is the Iran war thread let’s keep it on topic please.
Ha, came here to say this. Strait of Iran. ****ing idiot.

Done any raping lately?
they opened the strait to stop the mass slaughter in Lebanon. terrorism works when the Jewish State does it. Iran show themselves to be the most honorable and loyal of nations.
Actually the IDF is staying in southern Lebanon AND they get to keep attacking Hezbollah.
That is how much even Lebanon is sick of Hezbollah (80% of Lebanese, including many Shia want them disarmed) that they are ok with Israel staying and continuing their war against them.
And how desperate and little leverage Iran has that they are giving up their "Trump card of closing the strait" and getting so little for it.
I do 100 posts per page and page 36 of this thread is possibly the worst page of discussion in any thread on this entire forum, across all time
Solid work

hmm, Trump seems to disagree.

but I am sure that Israel will try to push the limits like usual. we will see how Iran and Hezbollah react.

they couldnt even get through Kiam and Bint Jbeil. look at a map lol.
This is all cope.
Israel was doing whatever it wanted, but trump saved Hezbollah in return for Iran caving on the Strait, and continuing nuclear deal.
And if Hezbollah remains an active paramilitary subordinate to the IRGC, Lebanon will continue to suffer as it has suffered since Hezbollah formed.
It really is a sign of how little leverage Hezbollah has and how weak they are, that Israel staying and occupying large swathes of their power base is being framed as a “win”.
And if Iran doesn’t cave in to demands on a nuclear deal Israel will be able to pick up right where they left off.
Keeping Hezbollah on life support actually gives Trump leverage with Iran. If he actually let Israel defeat, then Iran wouldn’t be making concessions to eke them functioning.
Keeping Hezbollah on life support Not good for the people of Lebanon or Israel or course. But good for Trump.
Israel staying and occupying large swathes of their power base
show the map.
they wanted the whole of the south of the Litani. they couldnt even take 2 border towns.
once again, I urge you to look at the map.

I reached a similar, albeit less extreme, verdict halfway through page 36, which is why I said:

They are little bitches that have to continually be saved by third parties.
They donβt deter Israel at all from doing anything, which is supposed to be the whole rationale for their existence.
In fact it is the opposite, they give Israel an excuse to invade and attack Lebanon whenever they feel like it.
Complete failure of an organization, that 80% of the people living in Lebanon want disarmed because they serve no productive purpose for anyone but themselves and the IRGC.
As far as Iran goes, the nice thing about dealing with Aragchi is that by all accounts he is just corrupt and not ideological at all. So all he cares about is stealing as much for himself as possible, and not martyring himself for some future apocalypse. So someone trump can work with for obvious reasons.
The real question is either Aragchi actually has the power to follow through in whatever deals being made. No point making a deal with someone they had no power to honor it.

I don't necessarily disagree with you and Coordi. That said, virtually every thread in this forum is a dumpster fire/nuclear waste dump. It's a question of degree, not of kind imo.
It's lots of fun, though! What's not to enjoy about playing in a sandbox on a pile of nuclear waste?
This might surprise a lot of you folks, but Trolly is actually one of my favorite posters in this forum.
Trolly and d2_e4 are the only two posters here than I regularly find laugh-out-loud funny.
who cares? they have been under siege. did Abbas have elections? does your boy Zelensky have elections?
does America and Israel have elections? right and we get Trump and Bibi. does Russia have elections? you dont like those results tho amirite.
Whaddya mean who cares? You're the one making a big thing over them being fairly and democratically elected, now you say who cares when they eschew democracy? There's no structure or consistency at all to your posting, Jasus.
I'm not even getting into Zelensky, you've been told umpteen times how they don't hold elections during war, UK did this also. Again, go on your Israel rants on the IP thread. This is about the Iran war.
