ACR Transaction Dispute

Hey everyone -

TL;dr is I typically use my credit card to deposit to play on ACR. I'm a rec so I don't play a TON, and last month I used my debit card for the first time. When I was going over my bank statement there was a transaction I didn't recognize, so I disputed it, but it turned out to be the ACR tx.

Fast forward to yesterday and I received an email saying I have an outstanding balance of $xxx on my account. I also had 2 accounts because at one point I couldn't get into my old one, so they closed one of them, which was the account this took place on, and left open my old one.

Then today I received an email saying "to be safe we're refunding all of these credit card deposits" and it's from about 6 months worth of deposits and totals $xxxx.

They're telling me Crypto is more friendly, or p2p, and to get those funds back into my account immediately. BUT they're also saying it could take 3 months for me to see these refunds back to my CC accounts. 1 of the accounts, the debit card I used, is now closed because I thought I had been hacked.

HELP - has anyone else had this issue recently? I'm not sure why they decided to refund all those old deposits, but are now claiming I owe $xxxx and it could take 3 months to see the refunds in my CC's.

This is indeed a weird situation but may i ask...let say all the deposits come back to you....whats the net result as that sounds like could be that you end up + $? Even if not id suggest they will v likely sort it faster than 3 months. I dont know and cant speak for them but normally a business will give a timeline that gives them leeway but reality is things are fixed much faster. Either way, hope it works out ok for you pal.

Naw, it wouldn’t lead to me being up money. It would be slightly down due to fees to buy ETH from CB and send to them, but this is six months of play, so it was money here and there, but they’d send it back to my CC’s and now want me to deposit with crypto which I can only buy on CB with cash, so it would put me in a bind with them wanting that now and me not having that cashflow.

it takes 3mo bc they use processors that deal with highly volatile and risky businesses that are often based halfway around the world. Id wait for the money to come back on your cc's before depositing as they could just confiscate the crypto

Do you know what I should do with my bank? I was going to call them tomorrow to let them know I messed up, but it sounds like ACR is saying you'll get the refund and just re-deposit.

I'm assuming my bank takes back the provisional credit they gave me when the ACR refund hits, so do I notify them or no?
