They will never go 1-16 because of travel. They really need to go 1-8 in conference though. Go back to 4 team divisions and have 4 winners, 4 wild cards. Or keep it 2, doesn't matter but you would need to have every team play everyone in their own conference the same number of games.
Yeah i thought the same thing about travel 1-8 conference works well other than Dallas being a long haul flight the rest works
I've seen stats posts by others that penalties aren't fewer in playoffs. I don't believe it though. Eyeballs don't lie. But if they are fewer, that's gotta help us, especially since our pp has been ass lately.

The Habs aren't a physical team so they'll play the same regardless of how the game is called, but not calling as many penalties gives the more physical teams free reign to ramp it up and bully even more. Last playoffs we saw Cole, Gally, and someone else take crosschecks to the face with no call. Wilson destroying Carrier pretty much won them a game. And we barely even responded to their bullying except the 1 game Arber played.
So I would say the tighter the game is called, the better for the Habs regardless of how special teams are doing.

Could be right. Should be physical vs tb. We can hold our own. Last game vs them was a war.
