So in Double or Nothings if say we had the old format where you start with ten players and five players get paid doube the buyin after rake etc, then when down to six players if all players equal stacks then each player has a 5/6 chances of making the money which is the same for everyone who does. hence if they call they arguably need to be 5/6 to win to break even otherwise they are losing money with the call and the other four players not involved in this clash are gaining. However if the calling player is colluding with the other four players and sharing profits then yes is serious collusion nothing people can do to outplay and its a concern.

it would be plus ev for the cheating players. However in Multi table Tournamnents there are often hundreds of players and the ICM cost is marginal often very marginal so doing this on a large scale I would assume would be donating money to the pool. Now if they targeted specific spots near the bubble or adapted this around final table where ICM matters most then maybe but it would be very hard to orchestrate such a collusion in such large fields and it would be more just play normal tournament poker the vast majority of the time but pick your spots to collude play and masses sharing bank rolls and profits like this.

its not absolutely impossible theroretically if that it could hypothetically feasibly happen but i think that is very very far fetched and I would suspect very unlikely for multiple reasons which i assume people better at describing things succinctly could explain.

I would always be open to proof of this its not impossible but until actual evidence i remain highly sceptical.

its more likely to be you just being frustrated at plays which you rightly or wrongly feel were terrible and so you suspect have to be cheating because you assume that no one can be that irrational so there must be another reason.

well I didnt see your hands and i dont know exactly what went down but I can say that I have seen plenty of absurd stuff online and live. online it can be for multiple reasons,
1. there play is actually correct but you dont understand why
2. they are actually just bad and got lucky
3. misclicks they generally happen ive made a few i think everyone has and that can look absurd.
4. someone on tilt who got lucky
5. someone who just wants to gamble regardless.
6. a massive organised conspiracy sweat shop from a poor country where everyone is trained to decent poker but how to exploit ICM on a mass scale in low stakes MTTs with them all fully trained in the maths to know when to make collusion plays them all being highly studied ICM pros with great mathematical ability.

I acknoweldge that 6 is a non zero possibility but I generally think I put the odds of that at 1 in thousands and assume one or more of the first five options applies instead.
