Grand opening of Mohawk Casino Poker room.
Rake is 10% up to 15 like other Elements Casinos. Casino is close to Guelph. About half an hour west of Toronto.
Soft opening to start Thursday to Sunday from 6pm to 2am. However plans are underway to develop it and they hope to have up to 24 tables running by august.
Free soft drinks and coffee. No alcohol.
Tables do not have shuffling machines yet. So games run slow.
Most of the players seem to come from woodbine and Brantford.
Was there on Saturday. You could tell this place just got up and running. But you can tell they care more than Woodbine.
Also have promotional buffet from Thur-Sunday. 14.95 +tax if you get a players card. That's basically free in Toronto. Food is ok, not much selection but for the price it's ok.

Glad to see there is a thread for this room.
I just learned they added a poker room there this morning, another room is always good, and glad to see GCG go with $15 rake like Brantford instead of $20 at Woodbine.
I will definitely check it out when in town as a former Brantford player.
This casino is not nearly as close to Toronto as OP has stated it's 30 minutes to the west of the western edge of the city while probably speeding with no traffic.
The new game could cannibalize the game in Brantford which isn't that far from this game by car.
