Dog **** to Crusher — MTT Grind Blog + CASH

Ok, I already had a thread made a year ago but I got lazy and stopped updating. So instead I will start fresh with a new thread.

A year ago I came back to poker after taking a long break, and after winning $160 at NL2 I realized that I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. So I decided to spend all that money on a coach and never looked back. Last year I had multiple coaches, most of them were really good but somehow the more I studied, the more confused I got, so I almost gave up on poker. Then my cousin, who plays a lot of MTTs, told me he would help me out, and I can't thank him enough for how much it helped me improve my game.

So I switched from cash to MTTs and started grinding and studying a lot, and slowly but surely my game improved by A LOT. Even right now I'm quite surprised by how much I've grown, even if deep down I think I'm still dog **** at this game haha.

My current ABI is slightly below €2, but in the next few months I'll increase it to €3.50 and then to €7, as I'm still inconsistent when it comes to playing A+. Also, if I take a week off (or get sick for a week) I just have a huge brain reset and suddenly have no idea how to play but my coach said it's normal because the stuff he teaches is info-heavy, full of nuances and spots you need to remember, so it will just take some time for them to become automatic.

When it comes to BR, I go for 1000BI so that I can play without worries (in reality I wouldn't need more than 100BI with my current winrate and EV bb/100) but as I'm playing on multiple sites (with more to be added later this year), having a solid BR is a must, so I'll just stick with it.

Since PokerStars got closed in my region, I had no other place to play cash, so I decided to make a new GGPoker account. It took a few months and attempts but I finally got one, so I also started playing some cash in my free time. Cash in general is just for fun though. I don't play it as a cash player, I play it more like an MTT player. I use cash mostly to practice things I learn from MTTs so I get used to them faster(especially deep stack spots), and also to earn some rakeback for Diet Coke and my monthly swimming pool subscription haha.
Overall I'm grinding MTTs 5 times per week, and if I'm not tired I just play some cash in the evenings.

My main goal for this blog is just for funzies. Another reason is to come back later this year and see if my game has improved. I'll update this blog weekly and will keep doing it until I become a solid crusher at $10 ABI.

Since I don't want to play poker all my life, I just want to learn the theory behind it and make some side money for whatever I want to do in the future: get N2 in Japanese, finish my Korean language studies, start drawing porn (as nowadays drawn porn is super bad, I want to make something good for my degen brothers and sisters heh), build my YouTube channel, etc.
So yeah, updates start from May 1st, wish me luck and thanks for reading!

As i said previously because mtt's is such a heavy info games with all the nuances and gimmicks that i am still far away to become good at any of these points. At the moment we are learning BBvR which is the most important(hardest) + biggest bb/ev spot in mtt's. But as other points are as important too it will be a long and hard journey. So looking forward to that haha.

and much more...

finally my first FT at 5 euro tourney, made a mistake by not calling one guy with insane high bounty with A7s but whatever, finally i know that it is possible to reach FT at these tourneys. Had so many deep runs at these tourneys but always finished right before FT so this is huge for me.

Ok A+ game is slowly coming back, this week will have 4h of coaching for mtts and hopefully by the end of May i will have even better game than i had before

Ok i think i am done with cash for now. Wanted to play a little bit more today but internet was cutting off every 5 minutes so i took it as a sign that i need to take some break from cash haha. Got lucky in BBJ and also in flipouts so can't ask more than this. But overall NL2 was super easy, so looking forward to NL5.

NL2

I will come back to cash later in May, after i am done with youtube and everything else.

April's Summary:

Ok, April is finally done and it was cursed. At the end of March/beginning of April I was in the zone, playing my A+ game and destroying everyone, then I got sick for the second time and from there I just felt like I had forgotten how to play poker. Only right now am I starting to feel better (some kind of virus), so the volume was bad, the game was bad, the feeling was ****. My plan was to play at least 500 tournaments this month but I played less than 300. I'll just treat it like this month didn't exist. But on the other hand it was a winning month, got sick twice in the last two months and there's nothing i can do i about it. Just gonna climb out of this dreadful feeling and will study twice as much to get back to where i was.

Graph:

As you can see in the first 4000 hands i was playing great and then everything just went bad. Still surprised that i managed to have bbev above 10.

Plans for May:
May is gonna be a weird month because i will be traveling in mid may for a week and then later i have my grandmother's death anniversary so gonna have to visit my relatives and the internet there is kinda bad so dunno how much i will be able to play.
So basically the first two weeks of May i will try to grind as much as i can and then whenever i will have free time. So overall i don't expect anything from this month and will just play as much as i can.

Health:

Been on diet for 3 months already and last month started swimming so yesterday i finally swam 1500m in one session so in may i hope to swim 2000-3000m at least once in one go.
Also been on diet for 3 months, was 104.6kg now i am 99.1kg. My goal is to reach 79kg by the end of this year. Hopefully by the end of may i will be close to 96-95kg.

As i am gonna be busy this month next update will be on 1st June.
