I would be surprised if the US lifts the blockade on that alone. I would also be surprised if the the strait remains fully open for any length of time if the blockade were lifted - there isnt going to any agreement moving forward between the IRCG and the diplomats. It just means that both want the blockade lifted.

Iran needs the revenue and if your not shipping any oil that means your storing it or shutting down production entirely. Not sure how that works if you can just shut down the wells . Its the one smart strategy Trump is using

I think the caveat here is that it's important to realize that us spectators wont know the half of what is actually being negotiated or what Iran's condition is or what the US can accomplish. We are all talking what the next chess move should be and we dont even know where the pieces are.
