Been on holiday for a few weeks, surprised to find no general discussion of British politics so though I'd kick one off.
The EU's anti-fraud office has begun a formal investigation into Lord Peter Mandelson, who was sacked as UK ambassador to the US over his ties to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Lord Mandelson served as European trade commissioner from 2004 to 2008. The European Commission asked the European Anti-Fraud Office (Olaf) two months ago to look into allegations of misconduct during that four-year period.
Olaf confirmed on Friday that it had recently had "sufficient information" to launch an investigation, but said it was too early to say whether or not it involved allegations of fraud.
Olaf is expected to look at exchanges with Epstein from Lord Mandelson's time as EU commissioner. It has confirmed its mandate covers all four years, and is limited to staff and members of EU institutions.
However, emails to Epstein have also surfaced surrounding the eurozone crisis in 2010. Among the allegations are that Lord Mandelson gave Epstein advance notice of an impending €500bn (£434bn) bailout, when EU governments decided to do "whatever it takes" to stop Greece's financial crisis spreading to other countries in the eurozone.
It's partly the lack of any candidate to replace him among labour MPs, partly the difficulty of the process in the labour party and partly that no-one want's to touch it before local election in a few weeks time.
The local elections are expected to be disastrous for labour so if anyone is planning to stick the knife in, it it's likely they want to hang the results on him first

Probably but the build up takes time which may pacify him for a while. The more we can play him for time the better.

Look who’s doing the terrorism in the UK. It’s not a shock obviously. They have a major problem over there. It’s a quickly growing problem.
The problem in the US is too many liberals can’t handle their emotions. This isn’t gonna get any better unless the government forces anti psychotic meds on these people.

How many years back are you going with these examples?
I’m not saying there have never been far right terrorists. Recently it’s been more left wing terror in the Americas. Much of this has come after Democratic politicians called for violence.

He attacked a specific group did he not? He has been on the terrorist watch list for 6 years. All of these jihadist should be thrown into a psychiatric unit.

The UK raising the terror alert threat to "severe" is a much better indicator of this being terrorism than your typical handwaving of antisemitism.
The antisemitism is real and a very serious problem. The blaming of starmer and the pressure on support for Palestinians inevitable. Not justified but inevitable. Just as the rise in antisemitism was inevitable following what netanyahu has done to any form of sane politics
