I'll be there Friday for the main tourney as a birthday treat to myself. Here's to hoping I have no weekend!
Borgata had a ROUGH few days Monday and Today:
Poker room very short staffed for the holiday weekend (V-day/Pres Day/Lunar New Year/Mardi Gras), likely because many of the dealers were off observing Lunar New Year; wait times were, in some cases, nearly two hours for standard games. At one point, we had enough players to start a 1/3 Bomb game but not enough dealers, and when a dealer WAS available, they started BOTH as 2/5 and a regular 1/3 game before the bomb game, even though they announced to the whole room bomb was coming next.
A Blackjack pit boss was seen by multiple players yelling at a guest due to some discrepancy with comp value.
Half of the restaurants were closed on the actual federal holiday. In addition, it was posted on their website that the buffet was closed Monday night, although there were guests eating there.
Pool closed early with no notice or postings, possibly because the resort at one point Tuesday morning had no towels for their indoor pool - busy holiday weekend with families, zero towels to be found, and no one in the know as to when they would arrive.
Not their best showing to be sure - wish this was not the case...
Nobody wants to work for crumbs anymore while being treated like garbage. Thats why theres so many issues
2/5 is now a time game , $7/hh, and still a $3 jackpot drop at $50. Still high hand and bad beat eligible.
And the bad beat is back to a normal progressive jackpot, quad 9s or better to qualify
Random question - I am coming next weekend for March Madness, we failed to book a table in the sportsbook but will figure it out (should be easy enough to watch the games).
However! What are the chances that the premier league soccer will be available to watch anywhere easily in the resort (that isn't my hotel room)? Where should we be looking if not the sportsbook.
Another random question, i will be there during one of the giveaway days, can i just show up at 1 and claim my free item or do people line up earlier for those?
This weekend Borgata, poker room and casino in general, was absolutely packed. Busiest it’s been all year. Definitely March Madness driven, so next weekend should be a smash spot as well.
People have also been saying the 2/5 action has been great since they switched to a time game. Bad beat jackpot returning to the old progressive style definitely a boost as well

Played some 1-3 NL at Borgata this afternoon (Saturday). Kinda meh. Table was fairly nitty and a few people kept sitting out on the dealer change bomb pots. So lame. Also, drink service was a lot slower than Trop and Harrahs. Borgata has the edge for amount of player/games (and nice chips) but I’m gonna stick with Harrahs/Trop for casual cash games.

Maybe ten years ago a 10/20 NL stream there would have been interesting. Now we have steams for big stakes that actually have action and high production quality.

Borgata really is stupid. If they invested some money into producing a high quality stream, and started a weekly stream 1 or 2 days a week. Kept it running for at least a year it would breathe a lot of life into the poker room. Most poker players want their 15 minutes of fame. The stream would attract a lot more younger players cause they always want to be “famous”. Just look at Hustler Casino Live, The Lodge for examples of a HIGH quality stream. It’s really not that hard to put a few million into a production and get a good product out there. Borgata would make that money back over time with the increased traffic to the poker room..
Exactly. These are the people who plastered over the escalators leading up from the poker parking lot because they didn't want to pay to maintain it lol.
