KQs Oop vs. tight aggressive 3bet

KQs Oop vs. tight aggressive 3bet

1/2. Rake/promo/tip is 6+3+1.

V (340) is tight aggressive, maybe too tight (15/11/3)? All night, when he got called, he had the goods.

Hero (covers) has a TAG image.

Hero in LJ with KcQc opens 10. V in CO raises to 25. Hero?

fold

Versus a super tight guy, I fold KQs to that smallish raise. He wants a call, probably with AA but no worse than QQ or AK. If we hit TPGK we are likely behind.

However, I would call if our stacks were at least 12x the bet and I held middle SC like 78 - TJ or suited one gappers 86-J9.

Fold, you’ve been let off the hook, so get out of the way. The situation is not worth pursuing.

KQ is not a premium
From late position, multi-way it has a lot to offer with high card, strong kicker and/or straights and flushes - it’s a drawing hand

But this hand is vulnerable and dominated by premium hands like AK or AQ. When a nit 3bets, the chances are too strong that you’re fighting a premium.

Recognizing bad situations and avoiding them is a superpower.

Hand continues

Hero in LJ with KcQc opens 10. V in CO raises to 25. Hero? Hero calls.

Flop (45): 7c9d4s

Hero checks. V bets 18. Hero?

I wish you told me before I played this hand.

fold again. all you have is a backdoor, and 2 overs that may well not be good, and just lose you more.

To me pre is an easy call and flop is an easy fold. Can’t fold a premium pre to every 3!

Nobody cares what phone I sent this from. :p

Fold pre - as played any info on his flop sizing? Vs that sizing I might be inclined to call and donk the turn especially if the turn improves the board.

Those stats are nitty not tag.

Probably just fold to 3bet.

We're oop w/ a rio hand.

I think fold>4bet>call.

Flop probably easy fold.
I guess you can float oop or x/r if you really want to play poker.

Pretty much all of this.

If you want to screw around, and know that this V can fold, then OK float flop and jam over whichever turn bet you would with 99/77/44/97. Assuming you even call 97s here. If a J/5 hits on turn, (really, the 5 only) sure, try and rep T8/86 too. Good luck...

I think I just fold to this player and that pf action. Depends on whether your Vs are doing this with ATs+ as a pot-sweetener, or as a, "Please call me/I hate raising with JJ+ and everybody folds" kind of hand. I guess you can 4!/f to like 100-110 and find out.

Why bother to categorize players if you are going to ignore what you learn? You are behind and have a much harder time navigating the hand than V. Fold. Now there are Vs where this is a call and against some Vs a raise but against a tight to nit V this is a fold.
