Tracking my results
Hi, ITT I want to keep track of my results over 2025. Currently my roll is at 4.2k I play 50 PLO, 4, 5 and 6 card, maybe
An-dheas, I got third in the 54$ speedracer for 240 + some bounties, also won a bit in the 200PLO6, although I got quite unlucky in a couple of hands... roll 7390
won more, roll 7893
I think you really need an advice now, i noticed you won bbj share playing 200 plo6 with 4k roll (correct me if I’m wrong) so basically 20BI at 6plo is suicidal imo now as you get lucky take my advice and play more conservative with your bankroll, it’s great moment to use your luck and play smart now π
it kind of depends... playing a lot of tables simultaneously at such a small roll is more suicidal than 1 tabling a good fishy table... if I still table select and not play too many I think I can get away with shots at 200 still, thanks for your advice though
won a bit more in the 200PLO6, roll 8275
pretty sick I doubled my roll in two days...
lost today in the tournaments and in the 200PLO6... roll 6867
lost more in the 200PLO6... grrrr... ran quite bad and got run over by the regs... 6253

I moved down to 100PLO6 but also didn't feel so good playing that.. kind of tired, gonna call it a day for today roll 5947
won a bit more at 200, 7032
lost quite a number of stacks at 200... roll 6325
tilted a high number of stacks away at 100... roll 5783
I actually want to be professional.. I can't be tilting like this and playing too loose pre...
Hi, ITT I want to keep track of my results over 2025. Currently my roll is at 4.2k I play 50 PLO, 4, 5 and 6 card, maybe I'll take some shots... Goal for end of year is hit 20k, I want to study more as well, and need to find good ways to study my sessions on GG. Probably I'll use GG's own tracker software...
Wish me luck!
I'm quoting the first post of this thread by you and then below the latest post by you.
The goals you wanted in the beginning with a 4.2k bankroll to get to 20k actually still apply at 50 PLO. Sadly you started increasing the stakes you play faster than your bankroll and tilt control dictates.

Having read (and enjoyed) your thread, I see you as a someone playing as though it was a hobby. "Hobbyist" is a person who pursues a particular activity for pleasure rather than for profit. You are also a "Jack of all trades" playing cash and tournaments, but the rest of the phrase is "master of none." Play for fun if you want, but then don't say, "I want to be a professional." Or become a professional by specializing in just cash, for instance.
Unsolicited advice is often difficult because it can feel like criticism, judgment, or an intrusion, which can trigger defensiveness and stress. Therefore, most just read and enjoy the poker blogs and try not to give too much advice. Look what recently happened when you had someone tell you that now that you had a significant amount of money to be more conservative with your bankroll. You dismissed it instantly in the very next post with excuses no less. Meaningful, lasting change usually requires conscious effort. Start by not playing like a hobbyist and instead start playing like a professional with a larger bankroll, quitting for the rest of day instead of tilting off stacks, etc. Online poker isn't going anywhere, therefore stop being in a rush to play higher than you should be playing.
thank you for your long post I will reply seriously later, first I have to sleep... I did win a number of stacks at 100PLO6 though, roll at 6455

The exact origins aren't known, but the current best estimates are that "jack of all trades" (as traditionally used today) was the original quote from like the 1500 or 1600s, "but master of none" was added later as an insult and popularized like a century later, and then "though often times better than a master of one" has been added back within the last century or so. So "jack of all trades, but a master of none, though often times better than a master of one."

Telling OP specifically the truncated version ("Jack of all trades, master of none") to criticize his lacking deep specialization. I even went so far as to separate the the phrase I was using to make my point about which version of "Jack of all trades" I was using.

Additionally I started the next paragraph by addressing my use of criticism, especially when it comes to this section and poker blogs.

Maybe, just maybe you missed the point.
Thanks for your advice and criticism.. I'm just chasing a rush of playing higher stakes.. the lower stakes don't give that rush to the same extent... I think my roll is fine to play 100PLO on, even though it's swingy... as long as I move down in time I won't go busto... I did lose a bit more today unfortunately... roll 5838

No problemo buddy. That is why I went out of my way to point out you are playing as a hobbyist. Poker is an awesome hobby. At the end of the year at poker you can possibly be up money, but my buddies outside right now playing pickleball on our tennis court aren't going to be up money.
But...............since you are playing PLO 6 card............you might want to concentrate and deeply specialize....instead of be a Jack of all trades....oh wait.
lost a couple of stacks again... roll 6002...
lost a bit more 5804
lost more 5652
