New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

their regular nuggz are the best in the FF game today imho. if im near a bell i legit might stop in just for them, as I am still at heart, Nuggz McMuffin.

I love their Diablo Raynch sauce too.

At 2pm, you just need to click claim reward in the the app. You can use it anytime today.

Chipotle i couldnt log into earlier today.

Finally was able to now.

Free chips and guac (or queso) for cinco de mayo

Today only. Need with purchase of full priced entree. Code: CINCO26

Diablo Nuggets were good but really salty. Tried the honey mustard and Diablo ranch sauces. Both were good!

I think the regular nuggets are better.

Tomorrow I'm either getting Dave's Chicken or Panda Express. I think I'd rather have Dave's, except the one time I've been there I got tiny ass chicken fingers for $5 a piece.

I've been wanting to try Dynamite Chicken at Panda for a while so I'm likely heading there.

When in doubt, you know you can count on Panda E!

Forgot to try for the drop but went to Taco Bell tonight anyway, knew it was going to be a good time when the guy working the drive thru looked like a serial killer. Found a cup of nacho cheese that I didn't order in my bag and the burrito was pretty loaded. 10/10 would eat again.

legit lol, that nacho cheese sauce is like crack

I can still get mac sauce for free, as of last week. It's not life-ending if they start charging, Walmart has a pretty good knockoff that I keep in my fridge.

At one of my McDonald's adding Mac sauce is now $1!

YIKES!

Although the location close to me, which sucks balls, charged me $2.25 to substitute bacon for the sausage in a Big Breakfast! I'm never getting breakfast there again. I'd rather drive 6 miles to a different store.

One slider missing, possibly already consumed before a picture was taken.Sliders were alright. They definitely took me to value town on the price but it was a lot of food. Back in my day though munchie meals actually came in a box 😡

ArrhhBees has buffalo chicken sliders for like 2.25, when they aren't out.

I've seen multiple mentions of Dave's Hot Chicken itt. I'm staying in Horseshoe in Vegas, where there's a DHC right in front of the hotel.

Never had it, only stuff like the Spicy McChicken. How hot is this stuff? I'm a lightweight wrt spicy. Pizza Hut wings get my eyes watering if they get too close to my face for more than a minute.

They have 6-7 different levels. If you’re sensitive to spice, I wouldn’t go more than medium. Maybe even mild would be good. I like spice and usually get medium because hot can border on tough to eat. I’ve never been brave enough to try extra hot or reaper.

My go to is the sliders (have pickles/slaw) with cheese fries. It’s combo #2. Dave’s sauce is a sweet thicker orange sauce. It’s not exactly like white sauce from a Japanese restaurant, but I’d say it’s somewhat similar in flavor.

They also have mozzarella sticks that are delicious with the Dave’s breading and your chosen spice level.

I'd say go Mild or Lite Mild if you're sensitive to it, it still has a good flavor. Medium will start to add up for sure. I'm definitely intrigued by the fried mozz, that's new.

Unrelated, I had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch dipped cone from Dairy Queen, quite good and spot on Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor. I'd still prefer a Blizzard, but this was a good changeup.

haven't thought about dip cones in aaaaaages. couple of friends worked at dq in hs and we used to see how big one could be made while still maintaining proper structure. also tried to quantify the maximum number of peanuts you could actually fit into a buster parfait cup and still get a bit of fudge and soft serve mixed in.

oh to have the metabolism of a teenager again

Definitely go less than medium. I got medium for gma, gf, and myself the one time I've tried Dave's and it was a little more than I'd like and wayyyy more than the girls liked.

A manager at a CFA store loaded a free 5c nuggets offer to my app, good thru 5/9.

I had them today. They were very good but lol @ the size. Those are not nuggets. They are literally popcorn chicken. And small ones at that.

Same things they used to walk around the mall (not on Sundays!) giving away samples? I can remember snagging some as a yout, many (many) decades ago.

Cuz yeah, I'd pay about a buck fifty for 5, I guess. I'm sure they charge at least $3?

5 count nuggets is an egregious $4.45 in manhattan

If you think those are small, try the grilled version. They don't even come in a box. Just a small plastic container.

$3.10 here

$3.45 for a 5pc from the local, but what I really want right now is a 4pc Chick-n-minis ($8.50! What?)

Don't forget when trying to figure out where to take Mom for Mother's Day, that on Sunday Raising canes has a BOGO deal in the app.

Dave's chicken is whatever, I can take it or leave it. Got a Tender X-tra hot, which barely registered as hot for me. It was the size of a typical restaurant tender, pretty trash for $4.89 . The mozz stick was OK, It had a thick outer coating that dominated the flavor of the cheese, I think I'd rather have a traditional stick. Anyway back to dieting.

Yeah the texture of the actual chicken at Dave's is super syntheicddt to me. more than any other afst food chicken.
