2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
In the info pop up option, it does mention it’s most optimal for rounds 1-12.
One thing that makes it tough in the changing landscape each year. For instance, prior year QB prices are going to be tough to apply to this season, at least so far.
Makes sense and looks well balanced.
I think ultimately my conclusion from most of these tools and software is that you mostly want to try to stay balanced and not get too weird, even though people think you should be doing that to be different. Bad news for griddy.
And the LegUp sims seem to emphasize the power of QB and that WRs outside of the elite, don't matter that much. You just hope to have the ones that spike in weeks 15-17.
did a draft with that thing side by side.
Rounds 1-5: Picked who I wanted. No big ADP reaches.
After that I picked whatever position had the highest AR. Once it stop giving me projections I sorted by rank and took whatever positions were needed to meet the recommended build.
I only ended up with a 15.6% AR.
Yeah I tried to draft with it live, did not enjoy it. Feel like it’s not that hard to get positional allocation correct
I probably go 2-6-8-2, but I like the WR profiles for sticking with 7. It can hit. Jimmy won't like Parker WR3 hahaha.
On another note, Mike Evans might be cooked, but what if he's not? His price is wild if he's still Mike Evans. He should probably be a 2/3 turn pick.
Remember in 2024 when CMC was the 1.01, Deebo and Aiyuk were 2nd round picks, and Kittle was a 6th round pick?
Evans scares me, because he can definitely smash on that team and in that WR room.
Also, just drafted my first Joly share.
Evans, Adams, and Mclaurin are all the wrong price (too cheap)
I think my thing for a bit is going to be pulling up a R19 guy in R18 just to get a little extra exposure to some of them.
Meant taking a R17 guy in R16 (on UD)
Working on a best ball dynasty startup. Never played best ball dynasty. Made a big trade to move up from the 1.07 to the 1.01, because I wanted Maye.
It’s 12 team, start 13, 30 total roster spots. 2 QB and not SF. 6 point passing TD. Can only roster up to 5 QBs. PPR, extra .5 TEP, .15 per rush, scoring bonuses for yards: 100/200 rushing and receiving and 300/400 for passing. 2/3 points, respectively for each tier.
No idea if I’m playing correctly, but I like the group so far haha.
Never done dynasty before, but I like those players.
Agreed, I like that one a lot.

Looks like you’re joining the weird scoring format leagues too now haha
It seems ok given the settings and the price doesn’t seem too bad. I maybe would’ve tried to hold and pick Gibbs/Bijan at your current spot given the points per carry, but like I said completely fine trade
Like the team, but might be too weak at rb given scoring rules
Haha it's different. I'm definitely worried about my RBs but hoping I can piecemeal it with the best ball format. One reason I moved up from 1.07 was that I was afraid I wouldn't like what was there. I didn't really want to start WR or older QB. And figured Bijan/Gibbs would be gone.
The first 6 picks were
Maye
Allen
Bijan
Caleb
Jayden
Gibbs
Chase went 1.07, which is probably what I would have done if I had kept the pick. But it made me happy I moved up.
On another note, just got my first Hunter dynasty share at 10.12. LFG!!
Njoku to the Chargers is very interesting. Gadsden is cooked.
Fun way to build a team.
Select only RB/WR/TE. Only draft those positions as long as you don't have to reach more than 3 spots of ADP. If you have to reach more than 3 spots, then draft a QB instead.
If you never have to reach more than 3 spots, stop at 4 RB, 5WR, and 1 TE. Then you can double or triple tap QB.
Forgot I had Barkley and drafted Bigsby for the 5th time this season haha
Might as well take Shipley to get the entire backfield lol
Lmao
