That right there is why I don't bet sports. I'd be searching the 'net for "someone to assassinate a pro golfer" and wind up getting busted after emailing Elin Woods about a bidness deal I had in mind.
eta: Fun fact: I recently went to a HS reunion that was held at what used to be a country club--still has the (much improved) golf course. I went out to sit on the veranda with a buddy who was smoking a cigar. I told him we were sitting not far from where a guy was shot and killed during a dance by a sniper from the 4th tee. The shooter was never caught, but the rumor is the wrong guy was killed and the intended victim was a guy who grew up a few blocks from me and my cigar smoking pal.

Golf bets for this week... odds are so bad on the only book I have access to I'm not going to embarrass myself by posting them. Seems like every bet is chalk this week anyway.

I've been to NYC once back when I was in college. It became readily apparent the only food I could afford was a hot dog from the street vendors or pizza by the slice from hole- in- the- wall pizza joints.

Fresh off the heels of my Spurs 70-1 and 45-1 to title, with some Knicks futures and an even hedge to guarantee the most money I have this:
Futures play for 26-27: Lakers +3000
1. Can build a cohesive team around Luka with cap space.
2. Can trade for AD (which honestly would be beyond hilarious from an NBA story standpoint to have Luka+AD both on the Lakers).
3. Can trade for Giannis.
+6500 to -205 is 13225%. Gotta be unprecedented, though I’m certainly not though only who’s hedging. 4056/6500 is 62.4%, Sagarin & some sims have Spurs about 58%, so that’s another overlay of sorts.
There have to be mass firings over that line at DK, it was 45 on 10/23 & 11 on 1/11.
I do still have a $150 dinner bet pending on the Spurs against a guy who REALLY wants the Knicks to win. When I proposed it after Game 6 he said he’d give me OKC too! Classic Amarillo Slim “my favorite team is the team playing your favorite team” bit.

Yeah I got them preseason 70-1 and then 45-1 around 10/23 (too lazy to log in and check lol).
When I read that Wemby did intensive basketball cardio training combined with blitz chess, I was like yeah let me bet on THAT GUY’S team, lol.
I got Knicks preseason 10-1 and midseason 16-1.
Would’ve hated to root for Knicks with my heart and Spurs with my bank account. Plus an even hedge by taking +175 Knicks was on the table.
Made too much sense just to lock in The Profit for the One True NBA Guru Prophet!
