I feel like I am dealing with the facts in evidence as opposed to an abstraction.

yeah i hear ya, but those thousand calories don't eat by themselves

if you really cared about living longer and healthier and happier the solution is both simple and obvious

I am trying to make friends with this squirrel by giving it hazelnuts.

I looked up how to tell a boy squirrel from a girl squirrel and it said a male squirrel is best identified by a visible scrotum and females have a vulva closer to the anus.

Were not even friends yet!

A Blue Heron just flew directly over my head.

The Blue Heron is my spirit bird.

This is extremely propitious.

so if the vulva far from the anus it's a boy?

The vulva of the female is closer to the anus than the scrotum of the male.

I guess I was hoping it would be more like birds? There was a female cardinal on the porch earlier, I didn't need to check the...do they have a cloaca? I don't even know. You can tell tho because of the plumage and whatnot.

Squirrels don't have plumage.

gave kid a 3d printer for his birthday but all he can think of printing out are imitation star wars lego battle droids

what are some real good use cases for it?

already stole your idea and had them print out some xbox controller stands, going to print a headphone stand next

probably some fishing and camping related tools next

definitely going to print a card protector once i figure out what it'll look like

it's a geeetech m1 so fairly entry level but pretty impressed with what it's output thus far

Squirrels don't have plumage.

But humans do:

Porsche, BMW, Lexus...

The 3d printing is stuck in gridfinityland.

It's sooooo slow. But it's genuinely helping my extreme disorganization syndrome. I've even made good progress down in the basement woodshop.

Almost everything I print goes to organization or tools. Bins bins bins.

He seems boyish imma call him Roger.

just pick him up and see how far his vulva is from his anus

I am sorry it has come to this but we need upskirt video.

gender is on a spectrum

Aren't we all.

man, I used to have no idea I was on the spectrum. I just blundered through interactions, relationships, life... oblivious that me and reality were on different levels.

this is unbelievable

not sure if it's real or not

I mean wtf

running a 13 minute mile pace for 2.5 days straight?

Tough race, one of the entrants died.

I don't know what the heck going on but there's now two mallards living under the tray feeder in my front yard. I've never had a duck before!

They don't seem to be eating or doing anything except enjoying the scenery. I don't have duck food that I can think of. Obviously I don't have bread.

Roger thought they were a bit exposed in the middle of the yard so he showed them how to hide amongst the hostas.

oh man, mother nature just keeps on tossing you new sets of vulvi to inspect

It has always been like this.

The kindle app on my phone doesn't work. I'm supposed to contact kindle support, but I haven't bothered figuring out how to do that. Basically, this is my weak-ass excuse for the fact that I haven't read a book in a couple years (at least). I listen to audio books on audible, but it's obviously not the same.So here I am, ready to get back on the horse and buy a few physical boo

Monk And Robot by Becky Chambers is easy to read and frequently introspective without being dense.

pharmacists know more than doctors about drugs.

my dad was a pharmacist

he refused to get us tested for ADD and always said drugs should be the last resort for any issue (food, exercise, sleep do a lot of work on their own if done correctly)

the only exception was aspirin, which he described as a wonder drug
