MTTs 0-15k to Vietnam

MTTs 0-15k to Vietnam

What's up guys,

I'm 29, been playing MTTs full-time for years. In 2024, I lost motivation, quit, and started working in the family business. But last summer, the itch came back. I decided to restart from the bottom at 12/13 ABI whit a staking deal.
Took a "big" downswing on the chin then turned it around – ended up winning about $18k over 8 months under a staking deal.

Now it's May (I start playing again whit my money)and I want more. I need a real reason to grind every day.

So here's the plan: I'm moving to Vietnam. Flip-flops, shorts, beach, and MTTs. I leave on October 1st.

Yesterday, May 10th, I started my challenge: win $15k by October 1st.

Why 15k?
That gives me a 1.2k/month budget for a full year in Vietnam without touching my savings. One year, alone, clear head, relaxing on the beach and MTTs.

If I fail the challenge, I'm still going. But wouldn't it be sick to leave and live an entire year just on money made in 4 months from home?

I'll be posting updates after every session.

4.5 month.
ABI 16/18
15k goal.

Wish me luck.

Hey splash best of luck for ur challenge! How comes u chose Vietnam? Any history there? I played and lived for several years in Thailand and the Philippines. Loved my time back there. It was the perfect mix btw a decent live for relative small money and a lot like minded expats. What are sites that u are playing on right now?

Hi, thanks for stopping by here.

So, choosing Vietnam was basically a mix of different things.
At first, I was considering pretty much all Asian countries, and I chose Vietnam because it had all the things I was looking for:

* low cost of living
* peaceful place
* sun
* sea

Since you’ve been there, what do you think about the Philippines and Thailand?

I’m Italian and unfortunately right now I can only play on the closed Italian market: Stars.it, 888.it, and iPoker.it.

One of the reasons I want to move abroad is also to compete in a different field and be able to play on .com sites.

Havent been to Vietnam so hard to compare. Thailand is actually really nice because the infrastructure is really nice, depending on where u live. For me it was always important to live in a place where electricty and internet is working reliable most of the time. I also liked in Thailand that i knew that there is always a proper hospital near by. What sucks the most is the Visa issue there. Dont know how it is in Vietnam? Philippines is actually in terms of culture way nicer since u can communicate easy with the locals. Most people speak somewhat decent english. Infrastructure on the other hand is a pain in the ass there. If u move away from Manila or Cebu, u will encounter regularly problems with electricty and internet. It got better but still a huge problem if u play online. Whats also great about the Philippines is that its very convenient with the Visa. U can stay there with out any big issues for around 2 years.

Ive send u a contact request. I can maybe help u out regarding that u can only play the Italian player pool.
