I think my post was a little too heavy handed in one direction because Kamala did discuss the economy and living costs but it didn't help her that she was arguing for solutions to solve problems that had come to surface (not all their fault) under their administration from the previous four years. But you could argue that her attempt to mobilize some sort of enthusiasm was rather lackluster compared to what a Mamdani or a Bernie could do in regard to the most important issues driving turnout.
It seems pretty straightforward why covid could cause voter turnout to increase.
