1-3, Flopped 2Pair, line check
Hello,
Friday AM Session at 1/3.
Hero has been at the table for about 2 hours and shown down mostly top 10% hands with 1 semi bluff that got there.
Villain is a reg who plays pretty straight forward but has shown AQo and 99 in his 3betting range so hes not your ultra tight live player. His KK got cracked by AQ on a QT3 board a few orbits prior and he was harping on the hand for at least 1 orbit. He has since rebought for $300 and doesn't play a hand until this one.
Have seen reg around the room but not much time played with him. He likely views me as a TAG reg. He saw me play a hand where I called a medium sized river bet with Aces and was cracked by a set and he said something questioning my call when villains set seemed obvious. He is on my direct right and we are casually chatting.
UTG +1 limps $3
MP Limps $3
Villain ($290) on Button, Overlimps $3
Hero (covers) completes SB with J9o
BB checks
Pot $15
Flop: J92r
Hero Bets $20
Villain calls
Heads up to Turn
Pot: $55
Turn 8, complete rainbow
Board: J928r
Hero Checks
Villain Bets $55
Hero calls $55
River: K
Board: J928K
Hero Checks
Villain doesnt miss a beat, says, "guess I have to go all in to win hands." Jams $215
Hero FOLDS
Maybe flop bet should be smaller, maybe should bet turn.
Thoughts on hand?

Flop Bet good. I like flop overbet since it is small in absolute terms.
Bet Turn for sure; plenty of value here with top 2.
As played - very tough - PSB large bet with speech, but we are underepped.
I think it's a fold, not sure I am ever finding it though.
I hate going broke in a limped pot. 5-ways, first to act, flopping top two, I think we make more letting someone else stab, then dropping the hammer, instead of donking for 133%.
~290 effective to start, so SPR is like 18:1. Even going overpot, SPR is still going to be like 5:1 on the turn. We really can't make draws -EV by any reasonable flop donk.
I'm expecting to see QT, because this is a thread, and shove + speech is usually not great for hero. Though I guess we're underrepped enough to call at <100 bigs. Might just x-jam turn, if we're resolved to call most rivers.
Aside, I absolutely hate that the new software hides the other posts in the thread while you're composing. Old software, I'm constantly going back to the OP, doublechecking stacks, the board, actions, etc...
check jamming turn potentially has merit but if we check jam turn, im not sure how often we get called by worse on a rainbow board with no flush draws. we can include combos of pocket 2s in his range when he overlimps button. he most certainly would have raised JJ, 99 or 88 on the button, so i am discounting those.
not a lot of discussion i guess but interesting hand reveal

Hero taps table and says I'll give you credit here and folds J9o two pair. Villain kindly shows us 98o for a worse two pair. I think i still like my river decision as played but probably could have played a bet, bet, bet line instead with intentions of river being a B/F cuz no one river bluff raises at 1/3
Grunch:
Without trying to range V on every street, that speech before the river jam is usually a tell indicating a nutted hand.
PRE - yeah, whatever, limp J9o in the SB. We know we shouldn't, but we've all done it.
FLOP - Yahtzee! Good on you for over-betting. No idea if you could have gone bigger, but it would have been fun to find out.
TURN -YUCK! Nice check when your 2P gets coolered by V's most obvious QT ever.
His PSB bet would make me want to snatch him out of his chair and beat him to death. I really wish I could find a fold in this spot. I'm not sure I could. I think we have to peel one.
RIVER - Good fold. He ain't bluffing.
I dunno, man. Seems well played to me, overall. I'm sure we shouldn't be limping in from the SB, and we should probably fold to the turn PSB, but I think a lot of good players would play this the same way.
Fold preflop. Even though it’s only a dollar, you are oop absolutely with a weak holding. You are only asking for trouble by calling multiway.
I’m good with flop. I probably bet the turn.
Against an unknown making a speech on the river, I just fold.

Bruh. Stop.
There's no way anyone here or most other places is going to think this guy is taking this line with a worse 2P that was just 2nd pair, crap kicker on the flop.
Maybe we can have a debate about betting the turn.
I wouldn't bet this turn after over-betting the flop, because I think the calling range is going to be weighted towards 22, QT and maybe some T8. We're behind 22 and QT, so I'd be pumping the brakes.
If peeps want to bet turn after over-betting the flop, I'm open to hearing how they're ranging V and what hands they'd be targeting for value.
