Tricky spot with top 2
2/3 game, $600 cap. 8 handed.
V1 has about $500. He is a LAG and stuck piles and just lost a big pot to V2 when V2 trapped him with a flopped straight.
V2 has about $700. V2 was playing a lot of hands preflop.
Hero easily covers both.
V1 in +2 position raises to $12, V1 calls next to act, and Hero calls from the BTN with 98 of diamonds. I would squeeze here a % of the time, but I don't have much if any fold equity here.
Flop ($37) 3c 3h 6s
Checked around.
Turn 8c giving Hero top pair.
V1 bets $20, V2 calls, Hero calls.
River ($97) 9h, giving Hero top 2 pair.
V1 bets $55, V2 raises to $150. What should Hero do?

Fold preflop if Vs are calling stations. If you think Vs might fold, I would 3bet. Calling is the worst option. 98s is a bluffing hand. I wouldn’t bluff into two sticky Vs.
I’m good with flop and turn.
River is an easy fold. What does hero beat here?
Snap fold river, you lose to all the overpairs which are definitely in V1 range given action. V2 could be bluffing (but could also have a 3) but you have to get past V1 as well
Other streets are reasonable, there are good arguments for other options as well
Sometimes folding pre.
Mostly folding turn.
Always folding river.
Pre: Good, relatively deep with a good SC in position
Flop: Fine
Turn: I think for price I can get behind a call, though fold would be fine too.
River: Insta fold. River raises as bluffs are rare at these stakes, even rarer when it is in to two players. We beat nothing.
Dupe.
Fold, he has it.
And I don't even know what "it" is.
Pre-flop is fine, flop is fine
The turn - the eight kinda called you. It checked thru flop, then v1 has to bet his TT and v2 just calls with a 3 - and you called.
Your two pair on the river is counterfeit with threes on board - I think both villains have you beat. Fold river
It was played fine, but you didnβt get the help that you needed - donβt confuse improvement with the relative strength necessary to win the pot.
