From $200 to $20,000: Crushing WPT Global and Taking Shots at Hustler Casino Live

Hey guys,

I’m Ville, an online grinder based out of Finland. I’m starting this dedicated thread to document my ongoing challenge, "My Rebuy Life." The initial premise of the project is simple: Can you take a tiny micro-stakes roll of $200 and turn it into $20,000 using highly aggressive, flexible bankroll management online?

📉 The Baseline & Rules:
The Starting Point: $200 starting bankroll.

The Ground Floor: NL20 on WPT Global.

Why WPT Global? No HUDs allowed, full-ring structure, and a heavily recreation-dense field. It is the closest possible simulation of a wild, high-VPIP live poker game you can find online.

The Rules: Move up a stake the second I hit 8 buy-ins for the next level. Shoot straight back down if the roll drops below 6 buy-ins.

📈 The Story So Far:
I started this grind back in late January, and it has been a wild, swingy ride.

Broke out of the gate quickly and managed to take a successful shot at NL300 early on (including an insane $2,600 session over a 10-hour volume block).

Suffered a brutal mental test in March where I completely punted $2,000 during a bad tilt session, followed by a brief physical setback that landed me in the hospital.

Re-built the momentum, tested my live chops at Casino Helsinki, and then things took a surreal turn.

I recently won a competition hosted by Mariano to win a seat on Hustler Casino Live. I flew out and got to play under the lights at $10/$20 against Mariano and the crew, which was an unbelievable experience and pushed my combined live + online winnings up around the $20k mark.

🎯 The Current Mission:
Even though my combined live and online bankroll is hovering around that $20,000 mark thanks to the live success and the HCL seat, the original challenge is not locked. The goal was to run the $200 up to $20k strictly within the online ecosystem of WPT Global.

I am currently grinding my way back up, pacing my shots more conservatively now after the NL300 experience, and staying focused on the core mission.
