live - donking into a world of pain

live - donking into a world of pain

5/5/10 - 9 handed timed rake

V1 - tag reg
V2 - huge aggrofish, 3bet very often preflop, plays face up when he check/call

Eff - 1300

V1 opens to 30 in mp, this is his standard open size
V2 flats in bb
Hero flats in straddle w/Q987 - This is a fold without v2 in pot?

3way pot 90
Flop T74
V2 checks
H donks 75 - donking is ok???? Or horrible?
V1 calls
V2 folds

Hu pot 240
Turn J
H checks
V1 bets 100
We fold? or call?

WDIK but if you take the donk flop line don’t you have to pot the turn when you make 3rd nut? Or why play the hand for a raise oop v a tagreg to begin with?

AP I guess call.

We have a lot of equity and poor visibility. We are too deep to bet / 3b flop and getting raised isn’t ideal. I start with a check call.

we should consider 3bet pre especially in this config, where aggrofish is especially weak ccalling. most live tagregs don't open then fold frequently enough so maybe ambitious. Our combo of 2g$ds has its gaps at the top which I think hurts it's mw playability so I slightly prefer fold to ccall but prolly doesn't matter much. 3bet should be clearer had tagreg opened closer to the button (ie, wider, could have more folds). Without v2 in pot I think call OOP is fine from MP opener, more likely to 3bet as they open closer to button.

As played this is a texture that you'll want donks but I don't think this combo is a good choice because it lacks playability.

As played I like kc turn and check-decide on the river. It's a pretty good bluffcatcher but is he bluffing enough?

If ur not 3b this pre but don’t know how to play it post we have a fundamental misunderstanding of what hands we 3b in PLO and why we 3b them

This is the quintessential 3b hand preflop.

Study your 3b ranges in the solver and extrapolate why

Played correctly this would be a 3b pre then depending on how many villains post and SPR would dictate our strategy but ideally due to the multiple bets pre we could and should stack off post at low enough SPRs

As stated previously, we don’t want this hand deep in a SRP situation as we have no visibility and have to guess our equity at high SPRs over multiple streets
