Mason Malmuth's Thoughts on COVID vaccines (Warning: O/t thread)
Since the Haxton thread was so conveniently locked, and this was the last comment, I just wanted to draw attention to i
even giving the benefit of the doubt and let's say the story is 100% true. There is still the problem of correlation vs causation. Did healthy young males have heart attacks at some frequency before the vaccine? Yes. Did that frequency in vaccinated population increase after vaccination? No.

I was in my 40's while covid shots were initially offered. I had never lost a friend or colleague in my lifetime other than from cancer or a car accident.
I lost a friend, also in his 40s from a strange thrombosis he developed after his booster dose. He was a healthy guy, fit, no overweight, no other known health issues.
I lost a colleague in his 40s from a strange stroke. Not sure about his medical history though.
Another colleague, also is his 40s, had to undergo heart surgery, he fully recovered and doing very well now. That made me happy cos he is a great guy with a lovely wife and a small kid.
Many strange things happened to people who got vaccinated and boosted. You may say it's all anecdote. Fine. I'm happy I did not take the shots!

Anti-vaxxers must be the most unlucky people on the planet - there isn't one of them that hasn't had several friends or relatives that have suffered some severe malady after getting the covid jab.
"My friend got in a car accident and doctors said they only survived because they were not wearing a seatbelt. So, that's why I don't trust seatbelts and never wear one."
My neighbour is almost 95 and smokes a pack a day... Thats why I've taken up smoking too 😃
But you do have to convince conflicting countries to trust the same narrative and collude.
And on top of that you have to convince them all to stay quiet forever
Seems a bit of a stretch...
Not sure if youre serious...
Is this where we've ended up? We're talking about the ****ing president of the United States, not some NFL player. Its become common place with Trump to think this is a reasonable situation- to be paying off hookers.
As an outsider this is what really astonishes me about the USA.
The line between reality and Reality TV seems to be non-existent and now its "normal" for the president or any high-ranking person to act like (and be on the same level as) some random TV clown and most people shrug their shoulders and say "Yea he is quite the character"
Meanwhile the US cabinet is filled with FOX news presenters and Real world/Road Rules contestants
The bar has gotten so low its time for James Cameron to get his submarine ready.
If it's nuclear, yes (j/k).
But the US has become an unpleasant rash that's spread across the world.
Why? Because it doesn't comport with your already established beliefs? I didn't say my mild heart attack was related to me getting the vaccine but I suspect it's related. I'm a generally honest person.
Can you share a source for that number?

It's sad that even when confronted with data people like you are unable to change their opinion. Your belief in the vaccine is not scientific, it's religious. You are the flat earther who when confronted with evidence waves it away. You simply don't believe the evidence because your belief is not based on logic or reason, it's an emotional belief you have.
To think that so many people are liars and trying to trick you reveals a lot about yourself and your world view. It's sad.

I wondered earlier in the thread whether you were merely a troll or are actually this stupid. Or both. Sadly, the inescapable truth is that you are actually just this stupid.
Your alleged post-vaccine health issues—which even you acknowledge you cannot definitively conclude were the result of the vaccine—and the similar wholly unverified stories of so many anti-vaxxers, are not “data.” That you misunderstand them as data tells us everything we need to know.
These fabrications are stories that get told anonymously to strangers. They are presented without evidence, without any kind of medical or scientific review, and without any expectation that any supporting evidence at all is required.
Tragically, however, you clearly believe not just that these stories ARE data, but that anyone who accurately rejects them as such is a parrot who lacks critical thinking skills.
You are a buffoon. Your blatherings here have entirely disqualified you as someone whose opinions should be considered at all. But what makes you stupid is that you fail to understand your own stupidity.
You’re not a troll. You actually believe that you are saying smart things. For the sake of this board, I beg of you to research the Dunning-Kruger effect and then spend some time in quiet contemplation.
President Donald Trump made a striking claim during a recent White House press event, telling those gathered that an unnamed new drug has the ability to bring patients back from death’s door.
“We know the drug works,” Trump, 79, said during the press conference at the White House on Monday, May 11, per a clip shared on X. “We’ve taken people that were dead. We had a person given the last rites — gone, the kids are crying and everything — and started them on this drug. And the person became better. It works.”
The president went on to address how such medications get tested, adding, “And some [drugs] don’t work. You learn very fast. It’s called the ultimate test, I think, right? They test all these things. They use animals all over the place, they use everything to test because a person’s going to die.”
The Venn diagram of anti vaxxers who take this unnamed snake oil almost certainly a perfect circle since daddy says it’s ok
It’s fine, nothing wrong with it, live your truth, but stop pretending you have ScIeNcE at your back

FYI one of the issues is that covid also causes increased risk of heart conditions and stroke, and if they had covid before the vaccine came out they still would have been exposed to this risk as well. Do you actually know if those people got sick with covid prior to or after getting the vaccine?
People infected with the COVID-19 virus in 2020 may have double the risk for future heart attacks, strokes or premature death from any cause up to three years later – even if they never showed signs of severe illness, according to new research. The risk may be considerably higher in people hospitalized for COVID-19 in the first year of the pandemic.
Also do you know family history? Do you know any other risk factors they might have? If not you’re really not in a position to use these as data points.

what do the statistics show and why is he saying this..... idiots all over thw world as asking.
My anecdote is that I got the first shot and my left arm was a bit sore, no big deal. The second shot left me hardly able to walk for a few days with the most debilitating feeling ever. I could only just barely walk my whole body felt terrible. Then a couple years later I had a heart attack as a relatively fit 30 something year old. So in my opinion the jab was not a good i
This is a post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy.
People who are homeless may experience 60-70% higher rates of cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks, strokes and heart failure, compared to the general population, according to a study cited in “The Importance of Housing and Cardiovascular Health and Well-Being,” a new Scientific Statement from the American Heart Association published today in the Association’s journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.

Two new studies add to mounting evidence that people who use cannabis are more likely to suffer a heart attack than people who do not use the drug, even among younger and otherwise healthy adults.

But sure, blame it on the jab.

Can you share a source for that number?
Why don't you use google to find the source and go to it like I did?
Are you aware that the National Bureau of Statistics tracks every death in the country by counting death certificates from every US county? And are you aware that these data show that while 1.3 million COVID deaths were attributed in the US, not a single one of the other major causes of death changed appreciably, ruling out that reported COVID deaths were really deaths from another major cause. And did you know that the age of each deceased American is recorded and so deaths from each major cause can be assessed for every age group? And did you know that adding up all the deaths from the death certificate counts, providing a number for all-cause mortality in the US during the pandemic years, establishes that over a million Americans more died during the pandemic than the norm established by the prior five and ten year periods before 2020?

it takes a real special kind of person to want to craft a post specifically intended to call someone stupid while at the same time they don't believe in their own intellectual abilities enough to craft it themselves and instead ask chatgpt write it for them
the lack of awareness is staggering

This post is so patently absurd that the only proper response is the obvious point that I don’t need anyone to write anything for me…and to then make the follow-on point that it’s telling that you simply cannot imagine being able to actually craft a written argument without the use of AI.
This should be fun, however. Please make your case, Sherlock, for why my post was written by artificial intelligence. I am very much looking forward to your interrogation of this issue.
EDIT: Upon rereading your post, and reviewing your contributions elsewhere on this site, I believe I have identified your confusion.
You assume that I used AI to craft my post because, unlike you, I capitalize proper nouns and words that begin sentences, I use proper punctuation and grammar, and there is a logical consistency to my arguments.
I understand now that when you see posts that include these hallmarks of good writing, you assume it must have been crafted by a machine.
But you do have to convince conflicting countries to trust the same narrative and collude.
Conflicts are fake. Countries use war as a way to reduce the size of undesirable populations and to create a shortage of males which later creates an economic stimulus and reinforces the existing order.
Look at who Russia uses in war: prisoners, ethnic/religious minorities (Chechens, Muslims etc.). Look at who the US uses in war (poor people, immigrants, etc.). War is a meat grinder that keeps populations in check and transfers money from taxpayers to defense contractors.
Would always love the fact that the anti-vax guys were like "what's in it?" while smoking dope they got for some stranger or dropping Molly that came from some guy's bathtub.

dude... you absolutely used ai to craft that post... how stupid do you think everyone is to think you could post blatantly obvious ai posting with all the telltale breadcrumbs, using specific syntaxes and grammar that normal humans do not use... and you still double down and insist you wrote it yourself
yes buddy, i'm sure you took the time to magically have a dramatically different posting style with perfect grammar and pausing multiple times to hit the literal 5 key secret combo to type out an em dash (alt+0151)
jfc just own what you did and move on, this horrific defense is embarassing and pathetic
and lol at that being your post 666

LOL. My post is AI because you say it it. Vaccines are bad because you say they are. Reality is what you say it it. I understand the level of mind I am dealing with here.

Do you provide data at some point or did you just provide your story? If you were not trying to imply that your heart attack as a causal result of the vaccine, why did you bring it up?
And Mo, just put Ricky in ignore like everyone else does. He is useless.
