Can't believe I lost that. Did I get unlucky or did I misplay?

No raises from you sealed the deal.

No raises from you sealed the deal.

He only had the opportunity to raise once preflop. I think pros and cons to call, raise or fold preflop tbh.. utg short and low vpip but probably weaker range and btn probably dead money if raise. calling seems a bit weak with 77 vs 2 limps OOP I doubt does that well in long term. but maybe one option is slightly better than folding.

Probably a PF raise was in order to try to get it heads up, but completing isn’t horrible, especially given villains short stack. If I added right he had 0.55 to start. Completing gives you better implied odds (55-1) than raising, but raising would make going heads up more likely. In this particular case though, it would not have mattered to the hand result; A5s almost certainly calls. Other villain, who knows?

As for the rest of the hand, you know the answer. You can’t fold after you set mine and hit.

I think it wasn't your mistake. Raising from the Sb 77 is not always so profitable on microstakes, given that most of the time limpers will stick in.(you make 0, 10/12 they all call, the pot is now 0, 40 and if you don't set it's hard. Four way 77 loses strenght)
I tend to isolate if limpers don't always call: look the flow of the game and what they did previously.
Low/middle pocket pairs are difficoult to play when there are many callers, many boards does not help you and you face many difficult cards. If the limper was one and full stack i would have raised him, trying to play heads up, there your 77 as much more value.

Everything about this hand is super standard. Villain is under 30bbs deep, and this sort of runout will happen a ton over the long run, so I wouldn't really pay it any mind whatsoever.
