Need to get McMuffin on the road to the South, hit up a bunch of places. Waffle House, Tudor's Biscuit World, Cookout, Bojangles, Biscuitville, Krystal
Last time I went to a Waffle House, I was in the mood for French Toast. Amazingly, for a place with "waffle" in the title, not on the menu. Grrr.
KFC has a limited time deal. The big Dunk 5 strips for 5$ and 2 sauces. Pretty good deal imo.
I had the 5 piece and two sides deal from Popeyes last night and had a free dessert or side, so, I got red beans and rice, mac and cheese, and cajun fries. 3 spicy thighs, a breast and a leg. Everything was as fresh and as good as I’ve ever had Popeyes be.
May all of you have such a wonderful experience. Truly great work Popeyes.

There's a regional chain of gas station delis here called Casey's. I had a great slice of pizza there yesterday, $3.50 or so. Thriving chain too, you see them everywhere, even little towns out in the Ozark sticks. I had thought it was just local but it looks bigger than that on further inspection. 19 states, wow. I need to get out more.

Casey’s is awesome. I experienced it visiting a friend and then it came to Oklahoma where I’m from and Texas where I live.
Along a similar line, I rode by the new Buc-ee's location in Az this weekend, but it isn't open yet :( Looks like it opens June 22nd, but I probably won't bother that first week. Buc-ee's noob, here. What's your goto?

I'd say - club melt sandwich; philly cheesesteak burrito; BBQ sandwiches are the best entrees. Tons of good snacks (Buc-ee Nuggets have a few flavors, some love them, some say meh), good fudge, good jerky.
It will be a MADHOUSE.
One other benefit, Buc-ee's is BY FAR the peak spot for a road trip bathroom stop. Clean, private stalls by the dozens.
Casey's is big in the midwest. Their pizza is actually pretty good--not just for convenience store pizza, but overall.
