For me this was a perfect example of both the old Bill Walsh Credo (“Losses hurt far more than wins feel good.”) & one of Sklansky(RIP)’s widely ignored if not derided TPFAP principles—the chips you can win are almost never as valuable as the chips you could lose.
GOAT +6500 was an alltime hof lolwut blink & you missed it gambling opportunity. To get nothing out of it after an eight month sweat would be catastrophic, even contemplative, for an for an ordinary rube-punter such as myself, especially when the hedge is STILL an overlay. (BTW when I logged in to bet on NY, there was a cashout offer for exactly 88% of the hedge profit, undoubtedly to prey on those unable to make a hedge bet. Forking corksoakers.)
For me, the extra three weeks of stress—especially in light of how the Knicks owned them in the reg plus how much Silver wants them to win—would barely be worth the extra $2544, which wouldn’t really change too much for me. A total loss would be unbearable, especially losing a once in a century gambling story.

I joked about making a win bet on Tommy as he was inadvertently the only big name I didn’t have on a team. Spaun Wyndham Gerard have all killed me in various ways. Nightmare top 4, worst case scenario.
My best team right now has +4 Bridgeman on it.

You really went back to Rickie after last week? I had him and loved his first 9 on Friday and thought he was gonna make a charge until he forgot how to play golf on the back 9. Never thought once to bet him this week.
