Cannibal Corpse
So I opened the signup thread first and when I saw the category I immediately thought to myself "the clue is gonna be Cannibal Corpse", and sure enough!
Based on the previous convo I feel like this is gonna be on the bad side? But I kinda think this would be the clue regardless of number and we never actually discussed the band name, so this could be almost anything.
Despite cluing this band in the last category I know nothing about them, I literally just googled what the most famous death metal band was and they were the top result that sounded like a death metal band.
In that sense it's a pretty good name, you know what it is you're getting into.
However it's probably in the lower section I think, I don't think it's too low though there's plenty of worse names.
It's also confusing, is the corpse a cannibal? is it eating itself? or is it the corpse of a cannibal? or is a cannibal eating a corpse? The world needs to know the answers to these questions.
So what do you think? 5 or 6 seem reasonable? I really have nfi.

this is a very bad name for a band. it's a good name if you're going for a specific purpose. eg heavy death metal, but in general it's a horrible name.
team lower, but i've never heard of this band until the last clue, so happy to go either way.
i do think a lot of the low low range is made up of swear words, racist, extremely offensive, or nonsensical stuff. so that accounts for 1-3. so if we go lower, we're really only hitting if it's 4 or 5. could be an argument for higher i guess.

but I don't understand the name. I don't understand a lot of things though. I'm really confused by diab's post about proper nouns being exceptions????? shouldn't proper nouns count? was it a typo? am I just really missing something? again. it makes me doubt my ability to relate to reality.
anyway, corpses are dead, so can't eat, so can't be cannibals. or maybe it's like a zombie? but zombies don't eat other zombies. idk.
or maybe it's just a dead cannibal?
the whole thing just confuses me, and kind of annoys me.
both words start with c, which is kind of nice. I guess. but also seems kind of lame

there is def a place in art for being offensive. having a an offensive name doesn't automatically make it bad

Proper nouns are exceptions because you can't angle with game breaking modifiers no matter how long it is, which is the only reason the word limit was imposed in the first place. Not suggesting your clue was angly obv.
